I have been using this app since more than 2 years now and I was pretty happy with its offers services untill I became familiar with its KYC process.
Now that KYC is mandatory so I applied on Paytm app for KYC and requested an agent to come. But he never turned up despite several reminders and tweets. Even paytm seemed bother less. Finally I decided to visit a nearby agent and get my KYC done. I was shocked when the agent asked me for charges after completing the KYC. He said KYC is chargeable but paytm says its free.
Two things cannot be right at a time for which I posted this on social media and got a reply from paytm and they even took action on it. But the next day when an executive called me for feedback I shared this fact that almost all agents in Bangalore are charging for KYC and customers are paying for it since they are helpless. So I suggested him to conduct a check on all such agents and investigate, to which he agreed as well. But nothing looks changed now.
So people who are reading this please be aware that Paytm KYC is free and if you come across anyone who is asking for charges then do not pay him/her, rather report this matter to paytm officials.
But Paytm customer service needs a lot of improvement since the era has changed to digitization.
