We booked the flight tickets on 6th April 2019 through PAYTM for the date of Journey 5th May 2019 from Hyderabad to Bhubaneshwar for 5 Members in the Indigo Airlines 6E-266. Reference booking ID from PAYTM is 7875612573 and PNR no is UDHFXV with fare of Rs. 26160/- for 5 Members. Due to cyclone “FANI” effect in Bhubaneshwar from May 3rd to May 5th all the flights has been cancelled by Airlines and communicated through news channels and other third parties websites for cancellation and full refund. Due to the cancellation of flights from Airlines and also heavy rains and cyclone effect we had requested to PAYTM on 3rd May 2019 for cancellation and full refund as per the Airlines communication. PAYTM also confirmed that they will cancel the same and give full refund. We were continuously following up with PAYTM for the status of cancellation and refund. Also we were interacting with the INDIGO Airlines with reference to the PNR and Booking ID. As per the Indigo Airlines, they were saying that “we have not received any request from PAYTM for the cancellation, how can we give full refund”. Every 8-10 hrs we were continuously chasing with PAYTM and INDIGO airlines for the same. PAYTM were saying the repeated message whenever we call that, “we are working to resolve the issue and will get back to you within 24 hrs timelines”. We do have all call recording voice messages from day one with all communications to PAYTM and INDIGO. And finally we got refund amount after so many follow-ups for Rs. 3715/- with deductions on 9th May 2019. This is really unbearable. As per the Airlines communication’s we were supposed to get full refund of Rs. 26160/-. And without our fault PAYTM has cheated us with so much deductions of Rs. 22445/-. This is our Harden money. It’s our one month salary.
For the same flight on the same journey date my relations had booked from Make my trip website and PAYTM too. They got full refund. But for us PAYTM deducted Rs. 22445/-. After deducting so much and refunded small amount to us, now they are saying they cannot help it because Airlines has deducted as a cancellation charges. This is really cheating from PATYM. We request you to kindly file a case against the PAYTM for not refunding my money. It’s been pending from long time from PAYTM.
