I wish I could give a negative rating to this hospital.
My father was admitted on 19th April for Angiography & then Drs. here immediately said he needs an angioplasty as he has major blockage upto 99% without sharing any reports with us because as per them it's their “Protocol” that not even family members can see or even touch the reports. Laughable!!
They scared the patient & forced the family to agree for an Angioplasty which would start within an hour of the family agreeing (9 pm) but since we wanted a cashless treatment & despite having an insurance & Chiranjivi card & clearance for it, they did not start the treatment & promised us it would be done next day by 10:30 AM.
But next day they gave us bizarre reasons like stent would be low quality in Chiranjivi and they are waiting for TPA approval & have sent all documents to Insurance for approval along with a letter at 9:30 AM. While we came to know from TPA they sent docs at 11:30 that too incomplete & when asked more docs they did not bother to revert. Dr. Amit Khandelwal who is the most rude and low level Doctor I have ever come across was the treating Dr went straight to the patient asking him to deposit a cash amount of 1.70 Lacs & they will immediately start the treatment, despite the entire family being present & when we said we want to avail cashless, he realised he is being caught & started blaming us of being unrealistic & that he was only talking of our good.
They didn’t provide any food to patient on pretext of surgery which didn’t start even at 3:30 PM. When we got tired of requesting & asked for an immediate discharge, Dr Amit said I can take my father but that will be my loss only as I will have to pay 2 days of ICU bills & his situation is critical, when I said if it's so critical why are you delaying the treatment he just laughed at me & said there are more critical patients who are being treated and as soon as their OT (Lab) gets free they will treat my father, on my request he allowed tea to my father because he was not provided with any lunch till then.
At 4:35 they finally took him for surgery under Chiranjivi as the TPA approval did not come because their irresponsible staff did not respond to emails from Insurance and kept lying to us. They neither allow attendants inside ICU nor feed the patient themselves, when asked the reason they told us we only feed those who don’t have a family, my father would keep waiting for us to be allowed inside so we could make him eat as both his hands were not allowed to move. They even asked us to help our patient with passing the urine in bed & when we denied & asked what is the duty of ward boys, they finally did their work.
Next day the guard did not let me inside & blocked my way with his hand, when I removed it and went inside he created a scene calling all ward boys and all ganging up on me, when I answered back Dr. Jayesh Khandelwal came & screamed at me that I was misbehaving & who let me inside, when I said you are also screaming inside the CCU he snapped fingers at me and asked me to get out, when I didn’t he called two male guards and asked them to throw me out, by that time 2 girls from Mgt came in & told me its not my mistake because none of the 5-6 ward boys and girls present helped my father with breakfast or tea, & that I was misinformed.
When I asked for immediate discharge Dr Amit Khandelwal came after making us wait for 2 hrs & vented out my anger on patient, twirled his hand badly twice on pretext of checking him, I asked my father to leave the place, Dr Amit Khandelwal was screaming at my father badly because Dr Jayesh Khandelwal had filled his ears already, the entire staff of 10 people ganged up on us, pushed me, Dr Amit hurled abuses & asked the ward boys to throw me out not just out of CCU but the hospital building, they didn’t share any after care or medicines with us, or the diet, slammed the CCU door badly on us so we could hear the sound of it.
I have a recording of the entire incident and picture of the letter I wrote to Gaurav Bindal, to back my statements.
I would never recommend this hospital to anyone!
We went to the management who had taken our complaint, Shreya in management made us write the complaint in a letter format to Chief Superintendent Mr Bindal and also made my father wait and walk a lot as the guy was not willing to come up to meet us. We went one floor down to meet him and after waiting and then talking to him for an hour, he called a dietician for post surgery diet prescription, called a boy to remove the bandages etc and share the reports and medications with us all that Amit Khandelwal was supposed to do, also he did not call both the rude Khandelwals to apologise instead asked me to not write any reviews anywhere or report this incident and that he will get back to me within 2 days after investigating the entire incident.
4 days are over but no one got back to us as I expected because their bad nonserious attitude and intentions reflects on their faces, instead many of our known people and the new Dr we went to in another hospital scolded us for choosing this pathetic JK Paras Hospital which used to be Fortis earlier but Fortis withdrew its name from here because of bad management and poorly educated staff, and surprisingly the staff remains the same, only the name Fortis changed to Paras.
The attitude of ward boys and security guards is similar to that of doctors here, they sit in a corner and gossip for long hours between their duty instead of feeding patients in time of helping them with washroom etc.
I have never come across such rude, low life Doctors like Amit Khandelwal and Jayesh Khandelwal who are a black spot to medical fraternity and have made the profession into a money making business and value money over someone’s life. The clown Dr Nitin Kaushik couldn’t logically respond to me so he says he can argue in better English than me, as if there was some competition going on, such retards are now called Doctors in JK Paras.
This hospital is such a shame !! Every family member waiting in the lobby for their patient in this hospital has similar complaints which mostly go unheard.
Shame on Dr Amit Khandelwal, Jayesh Khandelwal, Dr Priyank, Dr Nitin Kaushik - shameless losers and low lives who after charging lacs of rupees for treatment behave as if they have done a favor or some charity case and that they own the entire hospital and lives of the patients. Cheats and scammers of highest order.
