Paramount Picture has made this movie within $15K budget, yet the gross earning of the movie was $100K alone in US. Based on the camcorder recording found in a house where two homicide happened and a girl was get caught as she had the murder weapon in her hand and she was seemed to be under possession of some kind of energy. Story is too much predictable however this is on the terms of blair witch project, hence appears too real to eyes hence very effective. The worst part is it is too slow in the beginning and after 1 hour when almost base is little established it picks speed and eventually last 15 minutes are little thrilling if not scary.
Little background: Katie and Micah move to some haunted house because they got it little cheap. However there is a problem, that Katie is always followed by something which she doesn't know. That energy is trying to possess her. You will see that the couple has installed a camcorder in their bedroom where most of the activity happens. Then when they find something is going wrong they ask for some professional help and he refuse to help them as that energy is beyond his control. Eventually that energy overpower Katie and then unexpected happens.
Watch if you love recordings on camcorders that too something paranormal. Also don't expect something scary from starting.
