Dear all, am sharing this detailed review to help all of those like me who are or may seek work for Paramount cosmetics India ltd.-Shilpa brand owner, in the future, the reason being that nobody is truly aware of the ground reality of a company till he spends 1-4months in that company. So in order to help everyone to make a better decision to join PCIL or not, am sharing my experience here as it's more about everyone's family which this company will never think.


I have spent around 2years with this company and the reality is the company is actually struggling with a strong financial crisis now. In the initial phase of joining the company, HR and other members will show you a rosy picture but the moment you join the rosy picture will change into a stony ground.


Salary is paid in slots as the collection comes in month-end which also doesn't have any guarantee. So if you are lucky enough and worth in MDs mind you will get your salary before 5th of the month else it may extend till 25th of the month when actually the next salary becomes due. But the good part is though late but you will get your salary ??


MD has a habit of boasting of his super strategy for coming 5years for growth of the company but the reality is completely opposite of that, with bad name among the vendors, with employees and when the company is not having money to pay salary, how the growth is possible. Moreover, all strategies are poorly executed so the end result is nothing except a waste of further time and money.


Finance people say, nothing is fixed as the cash inflow is very bad.


I have seen a complete change of the entire corporate team in just a few weeks of their joining, all just left. I have seen a person joining at the senior-most position of the company and leaving the company in a week's time.


Sometimes they will even force you to work, they will try to put pressure on you by shouting and using bad words.


The company's strategy with vendors is to take the goods in advance and don't pay them till PCIL is left with no other option, or look for another vendor and take the goods in advance and leave the last vendors begging.


Vendors have struggled for years for small payments, currently, nobody wants to work with PCIL, unless they are not aware, or else most of them started working in advance only.


The moment you leave the company to forget about your f&f clearance till you file the case in court they will not pay you, initially, HR will reply to you with some dates but after 2-3months they will stop replying and picking up your phone too.


Despite all these facts in case you still decide to join because of some reason(majboori) make sure to get all your relocation payment done in a week's time else you will never get it.


In terms of payment, the company believes in holding the money till the time PCIL is left with no option whilst paying the amount for the survival of the company. Also, keep in mind your F&F will never get clear till you go to court.


The company's factory in Krishnagiri has few employees left now, rest all left and new never joined, most of them are from nearby villages and just 2-3from outside and they have been working with the company for more than 5years, they are the only one who is associated with the company for so long, even after they got the appraisal only once in that entire time, despite their low position they rule the factory, obvious reasons.


One good part is most of the time work pressure is not there as the business is too low.


Hope my insight about the company will make you all make a better decision for you and your family. Hope the company PCIL, grows and develops in the future and get out of all these bad practices.
