One of the primary things I look for in a hotel stay is hospitality. A feel-good factor. Some personalised attention, some pampering, some form of customer delight. Something, which is, in fact, the watchword, the very core of the Hospitality Industry, but is sadly and surprisingly rarely followed. I had made attempts to connect with three different contact points before my visit here. More, I had also given a call to their centralized call centre apprising them about my visit. Seeking a top floor to stay, seeking a non-smoking room. Disappointingly, I had to start all over again when I finally landed there.
The positives – it’s a great place, large rooms, great ambience, vast real estate. Comfy beds, nicely running AC, good food. Nice aqua area.
The negatives – it’s a 22-year-old property, so the effects are definitely there. The room could’ve been a tad better lit. Internet connectivity was intermittently troublesome. The food is way too costly. The location is on a highway with zero bustle around, as if you are stuck on an island.
The breakfast was great, and there were lots of local flab=vour options like chhole bhature, chana dal luchi, samosas, pakoras, gobi parathas, idli vada dosa, a few bakery items, a few dry fruits. Cut fruits, juices and flavoured yoghurt. Satisfied.
Overall, a nice experience.
