One humble advise, do not book and stay here.


I booked it through Oyo keeping in mind my previous experience with them in Munnar.


I have been to Ooty umpteen times so I know the location. But still for the first time visitors - it is far away from Ooty town and absolutely no eating options around this place.


Now about the place




  1. Person manning the reception does not know English or Hindi and he is not receptive at all.




  2. The toilet in the room was stinking. In spite of repeatedly asking the staff, they never cleaned. We had to buy harpik and room freshener to make it usable for 2 days




  3. The bed-sheet was used, with stains and hairs spread across from previous guests. It took 1 hour and multiple requests to get it changed.




  4. The place looks more like a lodge with damaged sofas kept at the check-in counter.




  5. The place has more than 10 rooms and only 2 car parking lots.




  6. No toiletries in the washroom




  7. No room services




  8. No dustbin




  9. Dumping ground bang opposite to the hotel so smoke 24 hours




  10. Leaking taps






The staff there has almost no interest in talking, listening and resolving issues. Best is to avoid this place.


Now about OYO rooms as I used them to book this place.


Within 5 minutes of checking - I called up and informed OYO team about ground realities. They put me on hold for a good 15 minutes and informed me that the owner's cellphone is switched off. The support person clearly told that they can only try once more and can not do anything if the property owner is not reachable.


So as a service provider - A big ZERO to OYO Rooms. They promised clean toilets clean rooms, hygienic bed-sheets and quilts. All is farce. They can not be long in this business if they do not mend their ways. In this digital era - the word spreads very quickly.


Bottom-line - Avoid this place at any cost


After writing review on google reviews, one email came to me from OYO that they are trying to reach me but my number is not reachable. Stupid things - I am attending several calls per day and none of my contacts have problem in reaching me. Very shabby customer service from Oyo rooms as a service provider.
