The first item that I bought online was a book through flipkart. I remember being amazed when the delivery guy handed it to me after 2 days with the bill. Now after almost 7yrs whenever I need to purchase an item the first thing I do is check the price in amazon, flipkart and snapdeal. Most of the time online shopping is convenient and hassle free. From books to furniture's to groceries you can almost buy anything online today. A lot of discounts are offered along with contests so there is always something for everyone. You can also shop on your mobile now. Most of the sites offer more discounts on apps. All sites have lot of payment options including cash on delivery so you can always inspect the item before paying. If you do not like the item you can always return it within a given time frame.
Of course there are downsides like delay of delivery or an item looking completely different than what you saw on the site or even items not being delivered.
My personal experience in these sites has been good. I usually prefer shopping in Amazon because their service is very good and the rates are also low. I have shopped from flipkart and snapdeal and it was also good. Have heard reviews where instead of mobile some people got empty boxes and stones but have not faced any issues with my deliveries personally. I prefer shopping on my laptop rather than my mobile. Somehow am not comfortable doing my shopping on the mobile. First of all the items look smaller than usual and I prefer the bigger picture and second thing is I do not like to put my bank details on my phone.
So overall am having a good experience shopping online and hopefully it will continue to be the same.
