Having been born and brought up on a good dose of quality music, I had always been searching for the ideal music system. My father paid a fortune in the good old days for a Sanyo JXL-6910 HK music system which had a terrific amplifier and all wood, quality speakers to go with it(by the way, the amp still works fine).

Then came the digital revolution and with some easy moolah in my pocket, courtesy my first job, I was smitten by a Sansui Marathon 6+1 CD changer. I paid a good 20 k in the mid-nineties for a system which I've found over the years to have stood the test of time fairly well. While the FM does'nt work too well, and CDs are passe, I still use the amp by connecting my smartphone and playing whatever I feel like.

My dream of the perfect system came true when I visited US in July 2014. I bought a relatively inexpensive Onkyo 5.1 AVR online from Amazon prime. The sound is so pure that I am absolutely in love with it. I have plugged 2 Bose speakers and my 2 old Sansui speakers in it. I am yet to buy a centre speaker and a woofer but it still sounds very good. I start my mornings by listening to music on it and go to sleep listening to some timeless old english classics. Onkyo you've made my days and months and years. Thanks for the system.
