OneAssist is a fraud company and never buy an insurance coverage from this company, basically if you’re too much clever then you may consider this company because they find the several reasons to disapprove your claim.
Basically, a mobile insurance means if your handset is damaged by any way like slip from hand/pocket etc. from anywhere, or damaged by any other reason then insurance company gives you claim. But if you purchased a insurance from OneAssist and your handset has damaged by slipping from your hand/pocket etc.? and you apply for a claim? They’ll tell you that you’re careless and they can’t approve your claim, isn’t joke right? This is how this company always find a ways to disapprove your claim. Let me tell you about my experience with this company-
I purchased two Samsung mobile phones(Around 11K of price each) together along with the Insurance from this company for both handset. One Of my handset got damaged and when I apply for claim and submitted all the documents, they started finding a ways to decline my claim. Anyways, so when I apply for a claim and submitted all the documents, details of the incident how my handset got damaged. I wrote that there was a small accident where my handset got damaged. Then, they called me and asked me the brief details of how your handset got damaged like where, when, how, where was the handset before and after incident etc. Then they said, write again in the claim form about how the handset got damaged.
After that they called me back and said that my handset invoice doesn’t have name on it and retailer stamp, they said I’ve to go to retailer where I purchased the handset and ask them to put my name and stamp on it. I mean, what’s my fault if the retailer didn’t mention my name and stamp on invoice? Why would I go to retailer again and ask them to put name and stamp? And, why would a retailer put my name and stamp on invoice after several months? So somehow, I manage to put my name and stamp on the invoice from shopper where I purchased my handset(After asking me several questions and wasting my time) and submitted again. Then, they again decline the document and said that
I’ve to sign on the invoice then I sign on the invoice and submitted again. Then, I asked them if they require any other documents then tell me so I can provide that they said everything is good to go, so this whole process took 3–4 days, they wasted my several days and time. Then, after the several days they picked my handset for repair and they made estimate of repair something 14K(Even the handset price was 11K) so after two days they said that the IMERI number of my claim account didn’t matched with the handset.
As I purchased two handset and they said I’ve applied claim from wrong account. I ask them what’s the big deal? I’ve paid for insurance coverage for both of the handset and if I applied claim from wrong account then they can simply transfer between second account but they said they’re sending the handset back to me and I’ve to apply for the claim again. Then again, I applied from the right account and again they ask for the same thing, that my invoice doesn’t have name and stamp on it so I manage to put the name and stamp again from the retailer. So again, they picked my handset, made estimate of repair and according to Beyond Economic Repair(BER) the repair estimate was high then the price of handset so they agreed to pay the 80% of handset price. They asked me to provide the bank details along with the image of Cancelled cheque/passbook or account statement(Where account number, account holder’s name and IFSC code should be visible) I mean they’re going to me the 80% of handset price, I provided them the bank details they can simply make the transfer, why this statement needs to provide? Anyways, I provided them my Axis bank details along with the statement then they decline(Cause, there was missing only IFSC code) and said that add another bank account, then I provided them my PayTm payments bank details(Along with all the details such as name, account number, IFSC etc.) then they again decline this bank account saying that this is the third party bank, I mean why do they care if this is third party or second party bank? They need to transfer the money into my bank account and I am providing them. Then again, I went to my Axis bank branch and update my passbook where all the details were visible.
Now, I provided them the details and now it’s been more then 3 days, still there are no update from them and they haven’t made the transfer yet and am sure they’ll find more ways so that they can disapprove my claim.
Even their support team is much worse then you can think of, I tried contacting them several times but each time they just waste my time and even they don’t provide you any support.
No matter what you ask from them, they will tell you only one thing that ‘our concern will call you soon’ that’s it.
Even once, I was trying to contact them about my document verification and I asked them to arrange a callback from support team about my claim and I tried contacting them several time but no one called me back. When, I tried contacting them 5th time I was frustrated and I said that they’re team of idiot people who always waste my time and guess what? One of their support manager called me back not because I was asking them to help me out, they called me back because I called their team member idiot.
SO IF YOU’RE GOING TO BUY INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY? I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU NOT TO BUY INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY EVER EVER, THEY’RE CHEATERS/FRAUD. THEY’LL BE HAPPY UNTIL YOU CONTINUE PAYING FOR THE INSURANCE COVERAGE BUT IF YOUR HANDSET GOT DAMAGED AND YOU APPLY FOR THE CLAIM? THEY WON’T BE HAPPY AND THEY WILL TRY VERY HARD TO FIND WAYS TO DISAPPROVE YOUR CLAIM.
HONESTLY, IF YOU’RE TOO CLEVER THEN YOU CAN TRY TO GET CLAIM FROM THEM AND STILL YOU’LL HAVE TO WORK TOO HARD TO GET A CLAIM BECAUSE THEY’LL TRY VERY HARD TO DISAPPROVE. MOREOVER, IF YOU’VE ALREADY PURCHASED A INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY? THEN PREPARE FOR IT, GET YOUR DOCUMENTS READY, GIVE THEM VERY STRONG REASON OF HOW YOUR HANDSET GOT DAMAGED. THEN, THERE’RE SOME CHANCES THAT YOU CAN GET A CLAIM.
AGAIN, DON’T YOU EVER EVER GET A INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY AND EVEN DON’T THINK ABOUT GETTING INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY’RE CHEATERS/FRAUD WHO’LL ONLY TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT WON’T GIVE YOU ANYTHING. THIS WAS MY WHOLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY AND I WAS REALLY REALLY MUCH FRUSTRATED THAT’S WHY AM SUGGESTING YOU EVERYONE HERE SO THAT NO ONE GET FRUSTRATED LIKE I WAS.
