Of late we see that OLA drivers are cencelling the ride left and right especially if we choose any other mode of payment, other than CASH.
Once we book the ride, they call us and ask as if they are interested in taking the ride, they ask "where to drop sir", and then they ask "Cash or Ola money?". if we say Ola money, we can surely expect CANCELLATION from the driver in the next 10 secs.
But The drivers are NOT to be blamed here. The Ola management has cleverly and mischievously put the blame on the driver by giving an option in the "ISSUES" -> "DRIVER CANCELLED THE RIDE". and we also normally choose that, since there is no other better and close option.
When I talk to drivers I get why they are doing this. If it is Ola money or any other payment, it doesn't come to them, it goes to OLA directly and they take 3-4 weeks to credit that amount it seems. Previously they used to credit then and there and then it became weekly once and now it is like "any time". Also full money is never credited, their commissions are crazy it seems.
So the poor guy has no other option but to cancel since he cannot keep track of what he is going to receive.
But OLA is trying to put the blame on the drivers by giving an option "Driver canceled". Ideally, there should be an option like "management issue". These notorious people do not give such option.
LESSONS LEARNT: Next time when you get the cabs canceled by the driver, don't just mark the option "Driver canceled". After selecting the option you have one more "Was the solution good or bad". select -> BAD. There they allow you to write your comments. There give your comments like "POOR MANAGEMENT ", " OLA CHEATING DRIVERS" etc.
I don't know what the CEO and the management of the OLA or venture capitalists are going to do with that crores of money unethically earned from the livelihood of our poor drivers.
There is a dialogue in one of the Tamil films, VIP -> "Old days, people without money used to take it from rich, but nowadays people with money try to plunder from those who do not have". THIS IS PERFECTLY TRUE WITH THIS UNETHICAL, INHUMANE COMPANY CALLED OLA.
