Worst experience with OLA cabs.I booked an ola outstation cab from Bangalore to ooty for new year celebration. Now the trouble starts.
1) Cab started from my home for ooty at around 3:50 PM and was supposed to reach ooty by 10 or 11 PM in night but by 8:00 we reached only near mysore and driver said we can not go to ooty tonight as bandipur national forest will be closed around 8.30-9 .00 pm. So we were forced to stay in mysore for 1 night.
2) Before leaving cab and departing at hotel in mysore we recorded the Kilo meter readings and in morning again when we checked Kilo meter readings were automatically increased by 30 Km's . When my father asked cab driver about this he started misbehaving with us and started speaking in kannada only, before this he was comfortably speaking in hindi and english.
3) Now driver became very rude with us and was not answering anything. Whenever we ask anything he will only respond in kannada. He realized we are monitoring KM readings thats why he put one small towel in Odometer so that we can not monitor the reading. when my father asked him to remove towel he responded very angrily in kannada.
4) After entering tamilnadu border he asked me to pay 800 Rs for entry tax, I gave him 800 rs and insisted him to take me also where he is going to pay tax, but he was only speaking in kannda and not co operating and was not allowing me to go with him. Finally he went alone and after his return I asked him to show me receipt but he refused to show any receipt even after asking multiple times, finally I gave up and again returned in cab.
5) Now after few hours we reached ooty and I booked a hotel. We have already prepared a list of places we thought of visiting. We asked him to take us few places like Doddabetta but he refused to go anywhere saying his car(swift dzire) will not be able to go to mountainous places. We enquired with ooty locals they said car can go.
6) Finally after so much fight with driver we decided to end the trip with ola . I called the customer care and asked her to end the trip. I informed customer care about drivers rude behavior and all the pain we were going through, customer care responded in usual manner saying if you want to end the trip you have to pay the full trip(2 days) money and you can share the otp, these people are least bother about customer safety.
7) Finally I ended up in paying 7300+800 rs to ola driver and driver left for bangalore. After driver left we felt a great relief and booked a local taxi for ooty site seeing. Again for return we booked tickets from redbus and again paid 3000 for tikets.
People go out with family to enjoy the vacation but for us it was a horrible experience. Will never recommend anyone to use ola cabs.
