We stay in Nashik, M.S. Currently, we are having only option for taxi-on-demand that is of Ola Cabs. A while ago, we thought of trying Ola to drive us to Railway Station early in the morning at about 6 A.M. The night prior to journey date, we tried to book a ride through their mobile app. The app was so unresponsive, we could not book for 15 minutes. Then we tried to book the cab by calling customer service. We were unpleasantly shocked to hear that we could not book the cab by calling. The app was the only option for us. Finally, after trying for about one hour, it was successful.
We were not aware that, the worst was yet to come. The following morning, as we were skeptical, we called again to confirm and we were told to wait, driver will reach our place soon. This continued for about 40 minutes. We were already late. They were just telling us to wait. Then when I yelled at the customer service executive to cancel my booking, she made an alternate arrangement of another driver. The driver came though and stood outside and didn't enter our premises. We had to carry the luggage for about 250 meters to the main road. Although the approach road is quite spacious, enough for a big size truck to come through, a small taxi didn't come.
So their claim of doorstep service is all fake.
The driver who came was wearing a T-Shirt and a track pant, unbathed and just out his sleep. His language was also very crude. His driving was rash.
Do I need to say anymore about the third-class taxi operator?
