Worst horrible scary travel experience. Review on Ola Cabs

I NEVER RECOMMEND OLA TO ANY ONE. WORST SERVICE, DRIVER, APP.

Sorry guys, to explain my horrible experience, I have to explain everything, which bit is lengthy. Please bare with me.

We have booked OLA PRIME SUV OUTSTATION at 1 am(11 apr 2022), got the driver details at 11:38 pm(10 apr 2022). The amount showed was 10820+ tolls & state boarder tax. We have selected the card payment option while booking.

1) Driver has called us at 11:40 pm itself, to check the location and booking confirmation. After explaining the location, he was okay with it and asked, if he can come by 1:30 am for pick, which I have denied & said 10-15 min delay is okay but not that much time. But still, he reached our place at 1:40 am which is 40min delay from the booking time.

2) After coming, immediately he started saying he will not switch on AC, since there is a hike in petrol price & demanded for 1k extra if we want AC. We tried to check details & all but the driver SAIDULU was very rude & threatening us that he will cancel booking leaving us with no option at that 1:50-1:55 am. Forcefully we were agreed to pay 500 Rs extra for that.

3) He took us for 2.8km & told he needs to fill fuel. After filling, he started fighting that we need to pay fuel charges & while ending the trip have to pay in cash. He was so threatening that time. He was using abusive language. When I tried to contact OLA regarding this, no other option was there. Only EMERGENCY was available. We tried for 10 times that emergency, NO RESPONSE FROM OLA. Then called 100 through that emergency option only, since the driver was threatening like anything. Meantime we were asking him to drop back at our location only atleast and cancel ride. He was not ready for that as well and the arguments heated up like anything. This was our current situation at 2 AM on the middle of the road, being family with senior citizens and ladies.

4) Now got a call back from OLA that we have pressed emergency. I have explained the situation & was asking him that driver is behaving like this & we were scared. YOU KNOW THIS IS NOT ANY EMERGENCY CONDITION FOR OLA. He told EITHER YOU GO WITH THAT DRIVER OR CANCEL YOUR TRIP BY PAYING CANCELATION CHARGES. Then I asked for cancelation of charges, he said it's not possible. As this is not emergency, will connect you to concern team, then call disconnected.

5) Meantime got many call backs from TELANGANA POLICE TEAM, as I have dialed 100from OLA EMERGENCY. I explained our situation, then within seconds, the PATROLLING POLICE CAME TO US. VERY VERY BIG THANKS TO THEM, without which we would not have reached our destination safely atleast.

6) When the Police came, this driver started playing games & tried to push all the blame on us that we are not helping him at petrol bunk for paying for that fuel & all... so much drama... HE EVEN CONFUSED THOSE POLICE PPL WITH ALL HIS COOKED UP STORIES. Then the police brought another OLA cab driver and asked about policies, proved that our cab driver was cooking up all stories. It was nearly 3:30 am by that time.

7) POLICE gave warning to that driver regarding our safety & gave their number & assurance to us that they will help at any moment of time.

8) Then we continued our trip & reached destination by 9:30 am where our PAYMODE CHANGED TO CASH FROM CARD AND AMOUNT INCREASED TO 11850RS, saying 2 hrs extra charge, 21 KM EXTRA TRAVEL THOUGH THE TRAVEL WAS DONE IN THE SAME ROUTE WHICH OLA SHOWED. Where it was 27Rs extra per km. 2127..

9) Again driver started his threatening when we spoke about it. The ONLY OPTION WE WERE LEFT WITH WAS TO PAY THAT AMOUNT BY KEEPING OUR MOUTHS SHUT, which we have done.

10) BY THE WAY I HAVE TRIED N NUMBER OF TIMES DURING THAT 1:30 HR TIME AT THAT PETROL BUNK TO THE OLA EMERGENCY, SUPPORT AND ALL. TILL NOW NO RESPONSE OR CALL BACK AT ALL. THIS IS THE WAY OLA RESPONDS TO AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. ALSO, I TRIED CHANGING THE PAYMENT MODE AT THAT PETROL BUNK ITSELF FROM CARD TO CASH. BUT IN CHANGE OPTIONS IT WAS SHOWING ONLY ONLINE PAYMENTS & THE DRIVERS ALWAYS ASK FOR CASH.

11) After all this episode being a female I am so scared to travel alone... We were having family with us, and police helped us ontime. So only reached safely. IMAGINE THE SITUATION OF SINGLE LADIES OR OLD PEOPLE TRAVELLING IN THIS SITUATION.... btw, if police don’t respond to you, then you don't have any safety provided by OLA.

Thanks baring with me. BE CAREFUL. DON'T THINK OLA IS SAFE. Instead, book a normal cab or auto & share your live location with family... that is far better.
