Got hooked to the songs of Notting Hill and then got hooked to a girl who says nothing at all,and says it best and speaks right to the heart?Here comes a movie which completely fits the bill for a bollywood movie of love,emotion,drama and comedy handled quite wonderfully that we got to fall in love with it and to add to it there are
nice songs which are played in the background!!

Anna Scott(Julia!) is a superstar and William Thacker(Hugh Grant) is an ordinary travel books store owner.Anna drops into William's store and Thacker pretends not to recognize her,yet he does let her know that he indeed knows her,a nice way to let a girl fall !!.And he treats her like an ordinary customer.She falls for him,he falls for her but both do not express their feelings.
Later , Thacker accidentally spills orange juice on Anna and she is invited to Thacker's house to get it clean.Love ensues between them.What follows next is a series of embarassments and misunderstandings owing to the celebrity status of Anna.She wants to be normal but the press doesnot allow it ,he wants love in anonymity but never really gets along with the her celebrity.

Julia Roberts fits the bill as Anna to the T,Catch out the emotional moments between her and Hugh Grant.When Grant says that his mother does not recognize his name sometimes and he can never imagine to wed a popular actress, Anna says ''The fame thing isn't really real you know. I'm also, just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.'' .People like her smile, but I liked her cry!!
When questioned about her previous relationships, she says ''I was in many relationships and we were just like getting together without knowing where were we heading.''
She depicts her popularity and the vulnerability that comes with it ,so well that it makes one think whether this role is autobiographical.
Hugh Grant fits the bill as William too,he is charismatic,speaks with hesitation,underplays himself very well and follows such mannerisms that we got to believe that any celebrity would fall for him even if he were a commoner.
The best performer in the movie is Rhys Ifans as Spike, William's room mate.His posings for photographs in front of the paparazzi just in an underwear and showing his body in all angles leaves everybody in splits.Some of the dialogues between him and Hugh make everyone laugh.If one has not read british comedy by the likes of Douglas Adams or a PG Woodhouse,catch these moments between Spike and Williams.
Rest of the cast act very well.

To conclude, this movie is indeed a perfect date movie and those in love would surely love it , those who are not in would love to be in love!!.Love is indeed in the air,we got to breathe it!!
