I love North Indian food, especially the Naans and the Kulchas and the Parathas. One day I was craving for a North Indian meal and wished to try something new. Northern Tadka has come up right next to my house and I wished to try this out one day. So I made a plan with my friends and we visited this place on a weekend. I loved the ambiance of this place a lot! There were people with Dhols and Nagadas and the atmosphere was very lively!
We settled down in a cosy place and called for the menu. As this place is similar to Urban Tadka, you can expect to find some of the same dishes here too. As we all are vegetarians so we called for Paneer starters- Paneer De Tikkey, Diliwala Chilly Paneer and Tandoori Aloo. The pieces of Paneer were chunky and the paneer was extremely fresh. It was very flavourful and delicious! We also tried their lassi and it was thick, creamy, sweet and heavenly!
It was time for the Main Course and I wanted to try a veg gravy and Garlic Naan. We called for Ghoonghatwali Sabzi(sounds cute doesn't it?:p) it was a concoction made with various vegetables, served in a clay pot. The Garlic Naan arrived, dunked in butter and was very hot and crispy! The combination was just mind-blowing! Man, it tasted to awesome! I ate it to my heart's content. We also ordered a Veg Biryani, well, that was not very great, but not that very bad too.
I wanted to have Malai Kulfi and it was very nice. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. If in the mood for North Indian food, do go here!
