All my six cell phones since the first one had been a Nokia. I still remember the craze of the N Series among the youths when it first appeared on the scene.
Then the price of the N Series was untouchable and only a selected few could flaunt it. In Nov 2007 I bought a black N72 for Rs 9200/-. The first few days, I felt really proud, every time I brought out the N72 from my pocket. With passing days the initial excitement started wearing off as I noticed that every third person on the street was using the device.
With dropping prices the N72 was selling like hot potatoes but it has lost its earlier charm and exclusiveness. It became common and nobody was interested in it anymore. In June 2008 after using it for 6 months I sold myN72 at a throw away price. The one thing I learnt is that the higher the price, the more the aura and the charm surrounding it. The last thing I heard was that Nokia had stopped producing the N72. This time I'm planning to go for the Nokia E 63 with full QWERTY keypad.
