The Nokia N72 NSeries model mobile phone - the(so-called) panacea for all mobile phone users' issues with respect to design, features, cost factor, etc.
Wow! Wait a minute, this mobile sounds really good on paper as well as looks really stylish with a slide down camera cover on the back and the metallic finish gives it a very good feel - both these'feel good' factors end the minute you have paid for it and walked out of the shop!
But, what happened? This was supposed to be an action-packed, versatile mobile phone power packed with features and design, all at a cost(around Rs.9000/-) which shouldn't make us proverbially "pay through our nose"!
But alas, the manufacturer - Nokia did not pay much attention to the major and many flaws in terms of the battery back up(one needs to carry the charger or a spare battery wherever you go - it doesn't last even one full day!), the 02 Megapixel camera and video recording clarity needs a lot more R&D, hanging woes(this and battery problems seem to have become a common trait with most higher-end Nokia mobiles), size, width and weight of the phone.
But nothing can beat this - starting and loading time taken! Booting and loading any applications on this mobile phone is akin to a computer in the era of Pentium II Processors!
It takes a good, hold your breath, 10 minutes to start up and crawls(approx. time taken 03-04 minutes) while changing in between applications(for example from going to the camera to the messages or phone book to the settings, and so on).
If your mobile phone were to switch off due to low charge in the battery, then God help you, because after putting the mobile battery for charging you would have to wait for a good 15-20 minutes before you are able to start up again!
Nokia has even done away with their main services centres in Bangalore and have taken a step backwards in terms of after-sales support, unlike Samsung(which maintains company-owned service centres), and opened up small franchisee - authorized service centres across the city where the waiting time is something one cannot mention without seeing red!
