I bought nokia n70 music edition on 10th of January, this year. When I bought this heavy set, I thought it was a great buy. But as the day progressed my thought went bad to worse. I don’t know about others, whether they have any different experience, but from my point of view, I must say, it was a pathetic experience for me to own this phone. It’s a bulky phone, with lots of programs which makes it slow day by day. Let’s talk about its features:
Operating System: N 70 works on Symbian 60 series platform, don’t know about other phones but this phone is quite slow, I had a memory card of 1GB, but it wasn’t a fast or average speed phone, rather it was a slow phone.
Camera: Nokia n70 has 2 cameras, one is in front of the phone and other is conventional mobile camera position, the second one is a 2mega pixel camera and first one is a vga camera. Picture quality is the best among any 2mega pixel camera. But the gallery takes too many times to open. The Vga camera also works good in day light, the flash of the camera works fine. Captured video file quality is above average.
Sound: I had a music edition of nokia n70; its sound quality was just excellent. The headphone is also of great quality, visual fm is also there, but again, as the gallery was too slow to open, I had to wait for minutes to listen the songs.
Battery: Battery of my nokia n70m was below average. The battery life ended within a day so I had to charge it everyday. For any type of phone in my opinion, battery is the most important thing, I have a bitter experience with this phone.
Keypads and switches: My painful experience started with the switches. The on/off switch of my phone damaged twice during the warranty period. And believe me; NOKIA CARE took 500 bucks to replace it. They told us there is no warranty for that switch. It damaged after 3 months of purchasing of the phone, and damaged again after 5 months. It was a night mare for me. Why they say there is a warranty of 1 year with those third graded switches, I don’t know. I had to pay a total of 1000 rupees to “cure” it from nokia care.
Menu: It offers everything in its menu but comes with a terribly slow operation speed. I must say it was a painful story having this phone.
Above all, I think Nokia n70 is like rajdhani with the local train engine. So buy it, if you want advanced features and great music experience with terribly slow speed.
Thanks for reading my review.
