I have been using the Nokia C5-00 for more than 4 months and am still discovering it.
Body
It's such a smooth feel on your hands, can easily slide into an already full trouser or jeans pocket. Smooth keypad too. However, I notice that the back cover tends to come out if you accidentally drop the mobile(it still remains switched on, phew).
Messaging
The keypad is smooth yet I do find it a bit tougher to type on mobile than on PC. So use PC Suite! When I'm on my PC, I type all mobile messages using the Suite. Ofcourse, PC suite also backs up your contacts, pics and what not to your PC.
Camera
5mp with flash. really nice, especially the panorama mode. I strongly feel one should check on the Net or elsewhere on how to utilise their mobile cams to the maximum rather than just blame the phone brand for average pics.
Menu
I like arranging folders for all the apps, moving the folders around or even creating sub-folders within Messages to organize the data.
Battery
It's ok, I end up charging battery by the end of 2nd day. That's coz I use facebook a lot on the phone or download video clips.
Internet usage
The internet function can be rated as 7/10. I do not find the pre-installed browser user-friendly. Download the Opera Mini browser from the Ovi store, that complements very well with this mobile.
Videos
compatible to watch 3gp, flv, MP4 etc. I've lost count on how many youtube, mp4 clips and 3gp movies I've watched on it.
Nokia Ovi store
Initially when I bought phone, I was disappointed with the built-in browser. Then I checked for apps in the installed OVi store and found goodies that helps! Got Opera Mini browser, Youtube downloader, Timer and other stuffs that complements seamlessly with the phone
Nokia Music store
yet to explore, that's coz I really don't listen to much music
Office documents
the phone reads pdf files, excel(view only) and also doc files(not so well)
Price
Well, the retail store charged around Rs.7700/- but gave me for Rs.6500/- as an exchange for my old Nokia X2-01(which did not have any papers & no charger).
I have also booked movie tickets, paid bills, installed bank apps to check my account and transfer funds. As I said, am still discovering more of the phone. One tip - I feel people should post mobile reviews after atleast spending 3 months with their phone. That's good enough time to truly understand its' various features and also clear any misunderstandings. Also, there's lot of software on the net that you can download for missing apps. Talking about Nokia brand, I truly admire this company for it's phones and also its social endeavors.
Verdict on C5-00: 8/10, and guess what? am still discovering.
