My complaint no. with Nokia is 1-13613934269


Nokia C6 experience of 20 months simply certifies that company is plain cheater.


On one hand they say because screen went dead immediately after repair from service centre of another city, so for one month same service centre has the liability and he will repair it under warranty. Once I told I can't travel 1500km for repair, their response has changed that product will not be covered under warranty. Once in email they wrote that product is being replaced. Then in next mail they wrote, please ignore previous mail! Then in 2 emaisl they wrote that product can be collected as it has been repaired when it was never accepted by them ever for repair by a nearby centre. I can't travel 1500km for repair by same centre! Why do they say global warranty when repair in another city forces makes me to travel again for problems created by their service centre.


There have been 30 emails exchanged with them since verbal complaint on 19.01.2013 and first email on 06.02.2013. Numerous phone calls have been there. I will take up the case till it reaches their CEO, every forum and also consumer court. After waiting for months, finally I had to buy Samsung Grand as I had no replacement phone despite extended warranty.

Noikia cell phone model- C6 of mine has problems since buying it in May 2011-


1) Hangs even for opening contacts, let alone maps etc. Despite new software installation almost every month since beginning this problem continues to date. To lessen the load on RAM, I have got not even a single song stored in cell and it was kept formatted except for maps.


2) While talking on the phone, there are breaks in voice since beginning. Voice quality is not clear so it is difficult to understand what is being said by other person and it seems to be the problem of model itself. In 15 visits to service centres, no one has been able to solve the issue of voice breaking so far.


3) Noida centre of Nokia had changed the slider with an old one and made me visit many times to change it with a fresh piece without any scratch. They thought maybe problems will be solved by this, but nothing happened.


4) So, I had taken extended warranty since beginning.


5) Three times speaker has failed. This time it happened in Mumbai, so got it repaired(on 16.01.13) under extended warranty from Sayona Nokia Care Centre of Vashi, NaviMumbai when I was travelling. Now, immediately after I took set from their centre, screen started flickering little bit and went off in 2 days. Also, after 1 day speaker went dead again. This is when I hardly use it.


After returning back from my trip, on 19.01.13 showed it to Vaishali, Ghaziabad Service Centre where they told that an internal cable- called flexi cable was broken and they refused to take it under warranty. Now, I can't go to Mumbai to get it repaired from same service centre. Now, set being in warranty there was no question of showing it to non-authorised centre. It can break only after opening the set. Just 2 days before that, set was repaired in Navi Mumbai centre and everything was fine till that time. How can the cable break in 2 days? It was obviously because of improper fitting from Nokia centre. Or from poor design where opening and closing leads to load on internal flexi cable.


Now, on 19.01.13 I had registered complaint to Nokia and after extensive followup, today on 06.02.13, I have been told cable must have broken from extensive use and as physical damage, it won't be covered in guarantee. This is ridiculous that a phone with hardly any scratches due to very less use is not being serviced with false blame on me. I will never accept this lame excuse and it needs to be replaced now and not repaired as I am really tired of Nokia product and services. It had costed Rs 13000/- and despite better features in Samsung I had bought this because of strong recommendations of friends for its SERVICE!


I will take up the case at every level. For the first time I had used Nokia due to strong recommendations and it has been a terrible disappointment. I have registered on online consumercourt.in and will be posting the case. It has also been posted on facebook and will keep that post live by referring to all friends if you don't resolve the problem ASAP. I NEED SUGGESTIONS ABOUT MAXIMUM POSSIBLE FORUMS AND HELP IN CONSUMER COURT POSTING, NOTWITHSTANDING COST FEES WHERE THIS CASE CAN BE HIGHLIGHTED.
