3530 is the cheapest handset in the category of ''Color Handsets'' by Nokia. But, the cheap price, may misguide you. Dont expect much from it. It does not have InfraRed or Bluetooth. This may not seem a big problem, but it ''WILL'' turn out to be one, when you get to know the services that can be availed by the Service providers.
The phone has some great features:
GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) - This service is an addon to the existing GSM network. This allows the subscriber to enjoy facilities WAP has to offer at a relatively cheaper cost. This service allows you to surf through the websites that support WAP. Yahoo, Rediff, MSN have a WAP webiste of them. So You can easily access your mobile while on the move.
MMS (Multimeda Message Service) - This is a pretty common feature to everyone. You can send Multimedia Messages - a special message with which you can add multimedia file. An MMS is supposed to be able to attach Picture and Sound to the message. But 3530 supports sending of only Pictures.
Java - The phone runs on a Java based operating system know as ''Symbian OS'' version 4. This enables you to download ''Games'' (They are costly though). But this has a negative side, the phone becomes very slow. The Inbox takes 3 seconds to open.
The phone has got ''LOOKS''. The brilliant lighting and the Stylish keypads are those that make it so. The lights are great but it does not make it look like a ''Tube Light'' (as the Nokia 2100). The keypad may seem difficult to get used to. But actually it is pretty easy.
The battery is great. It takes very low charging time. Nokia claims that it can stand for 312 days (13days). But my experience shows it works for 5 days under usual use.
If you want a featured phone, but dont have the value in the pocket. Look no further, Nokia 3530 is here!!
