I finally managed to get myself a new mobile phone. Its soooooooooo damn cute, I feel am getting obsessed with it!! I am not exaggerating my obsession with it, one example is on Sunday when I spent 6 hours playing Snake II and Space Impact ( I am THAT sad). I am like a kid with a new toy. This has quite possibly got to be the best phone I have ever had the pleasure to purchase in my entire life the Nokia 3330. Now about the phone.

~~Look & Design~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Awarded: 10/10
Customisable? Yes
Weight & size: Fairly light & small, but not to small.
God, writing this has given me a great excuse to take my phone to pieces.
Right, the first thing is the express on covers, yes you have all heard of them in some manor.
BATTERY
~~~~~~~

The Nokia 3330 uses a mAh Li-Ion battery, this is a very powerful battery and it can recharge quicker than most.

“In the right corner weighing in at 107g is (BLC-2) 850 mAh Li-Ion Battery” lol don’t know why I put it like that, guess im going mad. Anyway, the batter had a talktime life of 2 hours 30minutes – 4 hours 30minutes and can last for anywhere between 55hours and 260hours on standby.

SCREEN~

~~~~~~~
The screen has the usual nokia design and is roughly 3.2cms along and 2.1cms in height. On the left of the phone you have a four bar measure of you signal, how good your reception is. And on the right you have a four bar measure of you battery…. Oh dear looks like I need a charge. Along the top you have little pictures that tell you the certain status of your phone, going from left to right they are….
# A mail icon to tell you if you have an unread answer phone message.
# A key to tell you if the phone keypad is locked
# A music note with a line through it to tell you if your phone is on silent or not.
# A triangle to tell you if you are roaming in other networks
# And your clock which could be in various clock formats.
The Games
~~~~~~~~~~~

The 3330 has games Snake II, Pairs II, Space Impact, Bumper, and Bantumi. The first game I got addicted to was Snake II (which is hardly a surprise seeing as I was hooked on Snake). Snake II has the interesting option of making things harder by having different mazes such as a box, tunnel, spiral, blockade, or twisted maze. I prefer having no maze at the moment.

Space Impact is also pretty good, but I’ve completed already. I love shooting and fighting games and this one where you shoot alien spaceships is good. However I am worried about my Bumper is like pinball and I think it's okay when getting bored of Snake II and Space Impact. You can download extra games and add your high score to the club Nokia site using the WAP browser. I like the fact that you can change settings in the games menu. You can put the sounds, lights, and shakes on or off. If you do want the shakes on make sure the vibrate function is on. All they need to do now is get a miniature Tekken 3 game in the mobile and I’ll be hooked.

Profiles

~~~~~~~
This is an excellent function in the menu. You have the option to personalise your ring tones to the profile you have set. Nokia users will be aware of the options available when you press the off key once- Discreet, Silent, Loud, Personal and Switch Off. Now you can customise these and give them different names. You have some empty profiles so you can go mad with the different tones and screen savers. An example would be a profile that I’ve named sssssh! Which has the vibrating alert on, beeps once for messages and normal calls.
Call Register
~~~~~~~~~~~

The call register is another useful aid for finding your twenty last dialled numbers, eight missed or received numbers and call duration to see what damage you’ve done to your bill.

WAP ( Services)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hmmmm I’m not too sure about the WAP function and it is steep at 10p a minute. I don’t need to be online that desperately. I do think that WAP calls should be included in your total minutes and not charged separately. This may encourage me to use the thing.
Personalisation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There is a choice of 35 ring tones but I don’t like any of them. What I DO like is the fact you can download up to 7 of your own ring tones off the Internet. Also you can assign different tones to different people (I have my Dad as The Prodigy!). If anyone knows of any good and free ringtone sites please let me know!

Durability

~~~~~~~~~~
Now this is something really important, which I can't afford to miss, its a real RUFF N TUFF model of Nokia. Obviously, no one throws his cellphone to check its durability but actually I have a neice, just 1 year old. She's soooo mischevious & loves cellphones & needless to mention how many times does it slip from her hand & DHAM!!! Down goes my cell & everytime I think, GONE, NOW I REALLY NEED TO TAKE A NEW PIECE but everytime to my surprise, its in one piece, just fit n fine for my use! GREAT, ISN'T IT??? 2 or 3 times, I has been separated into 3 parts but I join them & its ready for use, no problem at all, ITS JUST A PACKAGE OF SURPRISES!!!
~~OVERALL~~
~~~~~~~~~~~

AWARDED: 9.9/10

CUSTOMISABLE: Yes

This has to be my favourite phone. There is a lot of handy features and a few have on phone instructions on how to use them making the phone just that little bit easier to use. And nearly every feature for this phone is customisable to your wants and needs, the display, the sound, and the look. Im sorry but, what more could the average shmuk what from a phone? And as I have dropped it countless amounts of times and it only has a few scratches (that too it dropped on stones). In fact once I dropped it without my notice & the football was kicked on it & it bounced like a ball!!! That was how I came to know that my cell was missing, but it was just in perfect condition, as I said before, SURPRISE PACKAGE!!! So I would have to give the durability 10/10.

Now, after long I am planning to upgrade my cellphone, though I don't wish to leave mine, its like a sweetheart to me, MY WAFADAAR (hehehe), but my brother is in love with it & so I am planning to upgrade to Nokia 8310 or Nokia 6510. Quite confused about it, have mixed opinions on both, anyone out there owning any of these can help me decide??!!
