I do not own this Cell Phone; my wife owns it. Once in the Cell Phone M<arket in Karol Bagh, New Delhi, I found a Cell Phone going rather cheap. NOKIA 3310 was the Model - Sleek, Functional and Blue in Colour.I thought of my wife, who needed a Cell Phone very badly. Yes, according to my perceptions of her communications needs, because as the Secretary of a Voluntary Agency of national repute, the Bajiraut Chhatravas at Angul in Orissa. My perceptions of her communications needs were different from her perceptions. Although it was her real need, it had to be converted into a felt need. As a student of Extension Education, it was a challenge for me. Over our morning Tea Ceremony, I opened the subject and said that she should go in for a Cell Phone, as she has to be in touch with her relatives, friends, colleagues and the Government people. She seemed to be convinced. At that point of time, when her motivation level was high, I took out the Blue Beauty NOKIA 3310from my pocket and gave it to her. She was quite happy and was in a totally different communication plane. Then the million dollar question was put to me. How much does it cost ? I said that it is a black and white set, and I bought it second hand. It costs only Rs.3000.00. then I gave her the User's Guide and helped her in storing phone numbers and in getting acquainted with its many features.
NOKIA 3310 has many functions- Apart from the Basic Functions, it has 12 Menu Functions like Phone Book, Messages, Chat, Call Register,Tones, Settings, Call Divert, Games. Calculator Reminders, Clock, Profiles and SIM Services. It has a powerful battery. Its Charging Cord is quite strong. My personal advice is never to charge the Cell Phone over night, as it is likely to be damaged due to voltage fluctuatins during night. It is very sturdy, and even after a fall from a Rickshaw at Cuttack, it functioned well. My wife discovered that her Cell Phone had slipped from her Hand Bag and was on the rough road. It was pcked up by a Rickshaw Puller and handed over to a Pan Shop, to whom my wife went and proved that the Cell Phone belonged to her.
Best of Luck to all those who own the Blue Beauty.
