I recently bought Nokia 3250 and when I told this to my wife she could not believe it, as my earlier mobile was Nokia 3315 (yes !).
She thought that it was a big jump. Sure it was, for past 8 months I was reading reviews, magazines and advertisements and was trying to select the best possible model with max. features. I had almost decided to buy Nokia 6270 but finally when I went to buy, I selected Nokia 3250.
The main reason is that this handset does not have a sliding mecanism. I wanted a phone with "open" look. Another important reason is that this phone supports symbian series 60 software platform useful for downloading applications. - Nokia 6270 does not support.
This phone has a twisting keypad. Once you twist the keypad, it becomes your MP3 player at a push of 'Play' button. You can store MP3 songs, create your own playlists and also assign them as your ringtones.
This phone has a big 262K display which is really charming and eye-catching.
It has 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and also with upto 1 hour or video recording with 512MB memory card. The photo quality is good compared to 1.3 MP camera offered by other mobile phones.
It has all the other features a regular Nokia would have. The PC suite once installed on your PC, you can manage the entire phone and contents through your PC. You can transfer photos, videos, contact list, playlists, files just by connecting your phone to your PC by a USB cable. I found this feature very useful to transfer songs from my PC to the phone memory.
This also had Visual radio and you can also tune FM radio stations by manually entering the radio frequency.
When today I carry this mobile with me I find that not many people own this model or have seen this model and I really like the attention I get when it rings the melodious misucal ringtones.
If you can spend close to Rs.17k, go for this one.
