NEG Fever gripped me too this New Year.
Purchasing a New Electronic Gadget [NEG] was on my to-do list, I thought it’s high time for me to change my Nokia 3200, which I had purchased on April 2004. However, it has not developed any problems till date and its working fine, but the other Nokia Phone 2600 has developed frequent auto-switch off problems due to poor battery life and charging unit life. So, I thought of replacing 2600 with 3200 and in place of 3200, I wanted to purchase a Basic Color/FM/GPRS mobile.
There were many models in the market from Samsung, Motorola, LG & Nokia. As I have been accustomed to Nokia products, I have decided to go in for Nokia. When I started the search, I was pretty much attracted to 2626 as it had many of the features that I was looking for with a reasonable price tag. My major concern was to transfer the Phone Address Book in 3200 [Including the Notes/Address/Group/etc., Information] to 2626. It was perfectly matching and I did, transferred all the Address Book details as is.
Let’s have a look at the Pros & Cons of this phone:
Cons:
1) Sound clarity is not good - Found During Usage
2) Display is not very bright outdoors [However, I am accustomed to that with 3200] - Found During Usage
3) No Memory Card enhancements
4) No Infrared/Bluetooth for instant file transfers [However, it can be transferred through GPRS, SMS, MMS & Data Cable]
5) Data Cable not provided along with the set
6) White color headset is provided, which attracts dirt easily - Found During Usage
7) During selection of ring tones, the sound was muted automatically after I heard all the ringtones in the folder. Later I restarted the phone to make it work again.- Found During Usage
8) Back Cover Slide which protects Battery attracts dirt and it’s very hard to clean that. - Found During Usage
9) Volume control is really weird when compared to other Nokia - Found During Usage
10) Centre Black Key / Selection Key is really hard to press - Found During Usage
12) Both the default games are of the same Genre - Dancing. - Found During Usage
Look out for the Cons listed as "- Found During Usage", which are realtime issues, which I found during usage, all others Cons listed "but not limited" to are listed for users information.
Pros:
1) Price
2) Address book compatibility with other Nokia phones
3) GPRS
