I bought on 25 th April 1661 black mobile set . The same was found to be defective 1. software hanging, giving code error message requiring removal of battery and restart 2. Loudspeaker not functioning and 3. low sound level and disturbance.
It was also found that design of handset is very defective and fragile.Even it falls from your hand while sitting, its covers come out and unless you press these back, buttons wont function.
I showed it to one service centre but they could not repair and asked me to send to NOIDA which would take a few days. Having no extra mobile I was unable to do so. I was fed up already.
I asked them to replace this defective set(from point of sale).They agreed and promised to replace in 15 days but back tracked and gave no answers.
Meanwhile on 4th July 2009 handset completely stopped funntiong showing crack like line on screen.I have no mobile to work.
My contact data was also removed by service centre and after functioning stopped, these are again gone.
The amount of mental harassment and time wastge repeatedly cannot be expressed.
I had to buy another mobile set.
I asked Nokia to refund my money and take back the set which has fallen on deaf ears.
Any one can judge the quality, the attitude and service quality of Nokia India. It is seen that their product and service quality both have gone down considerably. Avoid Nokia as there are several cheap brands now available in India.
