I am using Nikkon D5200 and purchased it from Croma store for 26000 INR.
There are many DSLR which claim to be beginners guide but Nikkon is preferred because of it picture quality which suits the Indian colors and culture as we have a more of a Yellowish in every picture.
It is preferred more on the canon counterpart because of it's better clarity thanks to the bigger sensor size and 24 MP, Megapixel is not as as important as the sensor size(note). The focus points are more i.e. 39 cross focus points.
It is user friendly and a lot of tutorials are available which are easy to understand. Nikon completed 100 years in this industry.
The battery life is good you can easy shoot close to 500 pictures or 350 pictures and some 25 minutes video with this.
ISO levels in 100 to 12800 which is really cool and on high ISO pictures quality is still good enough.
It also has the interval timer shooting but misses the time lapse photography which is there in high end Nikon DSLR's. In place of time lapse interval timer shooting does the same thing.
This is really value for money and a great deal for the beginners.
