This is a digital camera that provides you excellent quality picture. In my opinion this camera is best for taking pictures in good light condition. Night modes are available for taking pictures at night but you may need a tripod to avoid blurry pictures.
This camera has no inbuilt battery. I consider this as an advantage because it gives you an option to use AA size(pencil battery) batteries. This was very useful when we went for trekking for few days where no charging options were available. (I don't have a solar charger anyway). Usually I use 2700mah(Milli Amp Hours) Mi-Ah charger batteries. You need to use only premium quality alkaline batteries (Duracell) otherwise battery drains out almost immediately. This behavior is no different from other cameras.
It comes with 3X digital Zoom. This is not very good for taking pictures of birds, flowers and butterflies. That is why I like Olympus camera that has 10X optical zoom. Digital zoom is of no use because your image size(width * height) reduces.
This camera is value for money. It is good for those who wants a easy to use point and shoot camera.
