I am fond of walking and outdoors and so that entitles me to a good pair of walkers. Frankly, I have always used our modest and humble POWER shoes for walking. But that did not rule out my wish for a branded shoe.
NIKE has some interesting cool casual shoes for women. I took a fancy to a particular pair of shoes called NIKE Runamok Slip-on. Its a Casual, athletic, All Conditions Gear (ACG) Women's Slip-on shoes.
COLOR: I think this pair is available in plum/white in the US. But I bought it in Bombay from a NIKE Outlet; It is made in Indonesia. The technical terminology for the color is Cadet Blue/Lt Hot Red-Hvn Blue. But for all external appearances, it's a pastel blue and grey combination, quite pretty.
MATERIAL: It has a Textile Upper, washable with light detergent. A collapsible heel for versatility
SOLE: The sole has a thickness of 1'' It has a Polyurethane midsole with visible EVA insert (for resilience) NO AIR. It has a solid rubber outsole with external nylon shank support (Elastic strap) (for snug feeling)
COMFORT: There are no laces to tie or untie to adjust for right hold; the Slip-on adjusts itself to the shape of your foot. I find this pair absolutely comfortable for brisk, steady walk. Washable too with light detergent. Repairable, and parts replaceable too in case of problems. Ofcourse I made sure to ask on all these counts.
