NIIT is indeed is a very good computer institute. It has got many centres in India. I did my basics course in NIIT. The teaching staff is excellent and also the facilities over there is good. There are many computers and anytime you can practise what you want. Many institutes have the habit of extending the course for more than 1 yr but NIIT has 4 semesters and it gets completed every 6 months. I did my NIIT course in Chembur which is in Mumbai. If u are looking for a job, only NIIT certificates are valid. I am not saying that rest of the computer institutes are good, but if u have done ur course from NIIT, then first preference will be given to u.
Apart from the course, there are various other activities in NIIT. There are monthly parties, picnics and also there is good collection of computers books in their library. The fees is high compared to other institutes, but it is worth paying because it will help you a lot in the future.
I suggest you all that if u are planning to do a computer course, just do it from NIIT.
