Am a diabetic patient on Gluformin XL 1000, a product of Nicholas Piramal. Recently, I noted some side effects which my doctor attributed to the said product and wanting to know more about the same I called up the Medical Services department of this company. Narrating below my experienece...

  1. Called up their corporate office on 022-39536666 at 10.30 am.

  2. Operator picks up the phone saying " Piramals "...as if the whole Piramal family there to answer the call... guess she was saying it with style rather than with substance and credibility

  3. Anyway, ask for the Medical Services Department, to which she replied brusquely.."Ja" and hangs up the phone

  4. Call a second time and the same operator picks up the phone without acknowledging. I could hear her talking about the movie Kites to her colleague ( another lady) and describing how Hrithikk Roshan and te heroine in the movie was not paired well. I get a brief rundown on the story in about 3 minutes after whch she decides that the time has come to attend to a lowly customer like me..." JA" she barks into the phone ( wonder whether she has some Nazi ancestors !!"). I ask for the Medical Services department again.

  5. For about 30 seconds the phone goes blank/ silent and  I thought I was again disconnected and was about to hang up...the operators voice comes back... she is discussing the song Zindagi...or something like that from Kites with her colleague...and again I get  a run down of the scenes where the song was sequenced ...and after having her heats fill she barks " Ja " to the phone. By this time I was wondering as to whether this is such a good idea or not, but managed to be remain calm and asked her for the MEdical Services Department...and got hung up again.
