By far the worst experience I have ever had. Dr Harneet Kaur Grover has good education but very little experience. I was told that I needed a laparoscopy to check if my fallopian tubes are open to conceive. I rejected the first time because I didn't know it was like an operation, Dr Harneet said in such confidence it's a 15-minute procedure and you get one stitch. Then she told my in-laws there could be 3 or 4 stitches. Then after when I rejected the operation she became very rude and had no regard for my concerns and showed me attitude when I was asking her genuine questions.
Getting an operation done isn’t just a small thing and she should have that in mind before belittling her patients. Because of my in-law's confidence in the senior doctor of the hospital I then after a month decided to go ahead with the procedure.
1. Before operating on a person a CT scan is carried out as standard in ANY professional hospital anywhere in the world BUT I was not told to do a CT scan, therefore, Dr Harneet Kaur Grover did my operation blind and without preparation to what complications may occur.
2. After my procedure I was woken up. In a previous surgery I had in the UK I was woken up with no side effects and with an oxygen mask. Here in New Ruby Hospital, the Anesthesiologists didn’t check to see which anesthesia is best for me, I woke up banging my head up and down and side to side almost like I was having a seizure. And there was no oxygen mask I was finding it hard to breathe when I woke up.
3. THEY DON’T HAVE A COMMODE IN INTENSIVE CARE!!! How bizzare! I was made to get up and go to the toilet just an hour or so after I woke up.
4. When they moved me into my private room there was minimal care given. There was only one nurse that was very good at her job the rest were just as rude as Dr Harneet Kaur Grover. Nobody did a blood test after my operation to check for bacterial infections such as sepsis so it can be treated. They gave me minimal amount of antibiotics. THANKS TO THE CARELESSNESS of New Ruby Hospital Doctors I was hospitalised in France for 10 days because I got severe sepsis. I was given a blood transfusion and antibiotic therapy. Something Doctors in New Ruby failed to do when I went back to the hospital 2-3 times after I was discharged telling them I AM IN PAIN! Dr Harneet and Dr Puneet did a Ultrasound scan and said “its just air” and gave me pills connected with digestion. NOT ONCE did they consider checking me for an infection or advise a CT scan. New Ruby after care is disgusting!!
5. I was discharged from New Ruby without ANY BLOOD TESTS to see if I was fit to go. After 10 days I went back in so much pain I was just given fluids by drip and a pain killer. Dr Harneet Kaur took out my stitches GIVING ME NO INSTRUCTION OR WARNING that the stitch in my belly button will take time to heal. It is now November, I had the operation in the 13th September MY BELLYBUTTON is leaking puss till today no matter how clean I keep it and I have had so many courses of antibiotic!! They are so careless at New Ruby Hospital, on the time of the operation they probably didn’t thoroughly clean my belly button before making an incision. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER I HOPE NEW RUBY HOSPITAL LOSES IT'S GAENO DEPARTMENT because Dr Harneet is so rude, not understanding, so much attitude and has no regards to patients’ concerns. PLUS they took almost 50k for this damn procedure 23k for the operation and the remainder for medication which they never used on me.
I would never recommend anyone to go to Dr Harneet Kaur Grover or to New Ruby Hospital for anything. I will take this further legally once I have recovered and back in India.
