I recently spent a week in New Jersey actually the town was Linden New Jersey. My parents live at the Swan Motel that is located on Rout 9 & 1. My father works for a local company and that is the reason they are now living there. As most people might know New Jersey was the place that the 9-11 hijackers mostly lived and constructed their plot of terrorism. I use to think that I would never visit this state, just because of that reason. Then I realized that just because they were there and just because the news always has something bad to say about this state it didn’t give me a true reason to not visit it.

Linden New Jersey is a large city and very busy. You don’t have two lane highways to drive on like we do here in the hike towns of some country living towns of Pennslyvania. ( I hate 3 and 4 lane highways they scare me cause to many vehicles surrounding me at one time on all sides ). There are however many awesome things to do in Linden New Jersey and some good places to eat. I do have to say that this city is very high in price when it comes to food and doing things. Pennslyvania is a cheaper state to live in I will say that much. However the pay rate in Linden New Jersey is much higher then Pennslyvania but they have to compromise the pay and make it high just so they can make a living and be able to afford things. Example: In Pennslyvania an average starting pay for a job that requires you to run a fork lift operator is around $6.00 an hour, but in Linden the starting pay is any were around $9 to 12 dollars an hour. A lot of people will commute from surrounding states to work in New Jersey for the high pay.

Lets start off with my favorite thing and that is eating! Everyone loves food weather it be fast foods, family restraunts , or big dinning areas. In Linden New Jersey I seen many restraunts that I would of loved to try out but didn’t have the time. I love Chines food and they have Korean food, and Italian food and Portugese food. Quizno’s is a awesome place to eat. You can choose what type of hot sand-which subs, Starbucks was another place I enjoyed they have lots of different types of coffee and creams to enjoy. It was a relaxing place to enjoy your cup of morning coffee.

Then my second favorite thing to do in life is shop! Like most women we love to shop and buy well I found ton’s of cool places to shop in Linden that we don’t have in Pennslyvania. Kid Planet is a awesome place to buy school cloths for your children. My daughter loved the few outfits that I bought her while I was there. In fact her friends from school wanted to know were she was able to get those cool cloths since they are nothing like what we have here in our stores. Spot 10 was another place I enjoyed shopping at, and the 99 cent store. That is a cool place to buy up cleaning products ( that is kind of like the dollar store in PA). Marshals was cool it had lots of clothing name brand stuff cheaper. There is just to many stores to name.. So if you want to shop till your heart is content make sure you check these stores out and the price’s are awesome and affordable.

Linden also has their own airport, this makes it easy for those who live close by it. At the Swan Motel were I was staying it was located near the air port and it was kind of scary to watch those planes take off cause it seemed like they were heading right to the motel. Linden is also right next to New York you can actually see Ales Island from the Motel room. You can take a fairy if you don’t want to drive to New York and see the statue of Liberty. I think the cost per person for the fairy was only $10 dollars a person. Linden has a nice area for fishing and a park that is close for you to take a nice picnic lunch and enjoy time with your family. ( The park is a nice place to go cause it takes you away from the busy noise of the town and at the park you can rest and enjoy yourself).

Those were just a few things that I done while I spent a week in Linden New Jersey. I’m sure there are more things to do and places to visit while you are there. Each city in New Jersey has something special to enjoy. I felt that I should only write this review on what I seen and done in New Jersey. So if you want to have fun take some time and visit this great state in the USA.
