I’ll start with a confession. I’ve tasted only one of the three flavours of Milkybar Starz (Strawberry, Black Currant and Green Apple) recently launched by Nestle – strawberry to be specific. And I wouldn’t have bought this one either, hadn't my 8-year-old sister nudged me on (and despite her size, she’s a force to reckon). It’d be a crime to admit I’m not a self-declared chocolate freak, but for me it’s always been the good old dark chocolate, the creamy melt-in-your-mouth variety. Fruits and nuts are sometimes welcome to, but come to think of it … starz???? Well, why not give it a try, I thought, there’s always my sister to finish the rest of the bar.

So here goes the saga of ‘The Chocolate Bar And Me’: Chapter 1 : I open the wrapper. A curious-looking white bar dotted with pink (which reminded me, no offence intended, of a very fair freckled face) peeps at me. Chapter 2 : Well, well. The first bite. Be prepared to sink in your teeth real deep and real hard, for this one contains solid stuff. And lots of it to boot. Chapter 3 : Good, now its inside your mouth. Well friends, if you expect the melt-in-the-mouth experience, you're advised not to proceed any more with this review it’s not for you. For here you have to actually chew the hard particles that consist the better part of your mouthful, and the little chocolate that comes with it disappears as you try to do so. Well, I guess that’s how it’s made to be. Chapter 4 : So you chewed. Eeek god why on earth is this thing so sweet?!!! That’s my reaction and I’m never guaranteeing you’ll suffer the same, because my sister (as she informed me later) seemed to enjoy that very thing greatly. Reactions vary, I suppose. As for me, it made me conjure up the idea of some sweet Centreshock (assuming that you know what that one is) Well here it ends and now, time for next bite. And as morning shows the day I suppose the first bite shows the rest, so if you wanna know how it went just scroll up the page.

A word of advice : Don’t expect to finish the whole bar at a time. It’s an impossible task unless you have tusks for sweet teeth. And, another one : Don’t chew the candy bits with your back teeth because it ends up getting stuck and I don’t think that’s a very good idea. Try nibbling one at a time with the front teeth instead. That’ll take some time for the sweetness to sink in too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
About the recommendation stuff : I’ve recommended this chocolate because I won’t mind if you buy it and won’t even think you’re weird if you like it (take my sis’s word for it). But as for me, give the age-old favourite plain milk chocolate for any occasion thank you.
