Guess what? This time I am not going to review a restaurant, i'd rather review a mall where-in there are multiple restaurants.
Am going to pen my thoughts on Neptune magnet mall.
First let me help you on how to get to this mall?
The closest station is bhandup for people who are travelling from bhandup to thane and beyond. Even Kanjurmarg can also be preferred especially for people travelling from kanjurmarg to ghatkopar and beyond.
Normally the biggest problem one faces while travelling to places are once after reaching the nearest station how can one reach the exact place? You rather don't get worried and opt for the free bus service from kanjurmarg station till the mall. Yes, its free and there's a bus every 15 mins.
I've just used the bus service once and its 50 people seater and its a pretty descent bus. This is a very good initiative as it attract more and more people.
Now coming to the parking space, how huge is it?
The mall has a wide space for parking, but normally people with 2-wheelers prefer parking their vehicle in front of the mall rather than utilizing the parking lot, at times even I do park my scooty in front of the mall. So don't worry about the parking space if your planing to visit this mall.
The next question that comes to one's mind is that, does the mall have enough excitement?
Yes it does, there are wide range of international brands, eating joints, multiplexes and entertainment zones also.
Even though this mall is half open, its still very lively. One can find every outlet here, from accessories to electronics, from food to footwear's.
The mall has 4 floors, among which the 3rd floor is the most crowded and happening floor. Offcourse why wouldn't it be? There is multiplex, food court, eating joints, many well known brands etc
To name a few, McDonald's, Domino's, Pizza hut, etc and many new exciting new brands like cambay prawns, momos, eggsunday, corn station etc.
Every joint is a worth a try atleast once. Famous restaurants like Golden Star Thali, KFC, etc are there.
Many international brands such as Rhysetta, Levi, Hush Puppies, etc are also there. And local brands like Bata, vision express etc are too there.
The list never ends for the brands available here.
There are 2 shopping markets too here, Easyday and Metro, Whereas the latter is only for customers who own a shop and minimum shopping limit is 1000/- and above and this is where metro fails, where as easyday is for regular customers and although the rates aren't much discounted still its better to shop here.
The multiplex runs 36 shows per day, so one can expect this place to earn the most, and the tickets rate aren't much high also. Nowadays multiplexes have become a trend for the youngsters, and this multiplex has comfortable seats and atmosphere.
I can go on and on with the brands in this mall. So I better end up here, and move on to the next section.
The mall is decorated in bits & pieces, and some section of the mall enjoys more crowd and such places are decorated beautifully. Recently there was a promotion of a fruit juice, and the area where the stalls were put up were beautifully decorated with all the fruits like apple, orange, etc.
At some places the mall seems to be dead, as many shops aren't opened yet. Once the mall opens full-fledged then the mall will be very bright and lively place.
Recently SALMAN KHAN made a visit to the mall and the place was jam-packed. In future even more superstars are expected to come for the promotion of their movies.
I would say that this would be the cons of this mall as many shops aren't opened yet. So hopefully all the shops open up before people end up loosing interest in this place.
I would say that the mall has really took big time effort to get in more number of people by providing free bus service, and many more ideas like promotion.
In a year or so this mall can be expected to be very very famous.
The gaming zone is also very good, as it contains many games, and many exciting zones. Ice skating is also very interesting and i've tried it once, and its real ice. Although I bruised my elbows by falling multiple times.
The floor is real ice, and not the ones used in other malls, and its well maintained.
The mall also attracts descent public and on saturday evening one can find trendy crowd too.
Final Verdict: This can be one of the best mall in the town, provided it continues the same way and the rest of the shops which aren't open, open up soon. And I say that it should continue in the same way means, it should keep coming up with ideas that will attract more crowd. And how can I forget, during the IPL6 season, every single match is broadcasted on the big screen and people enjoy in the food court while watching IPL matches.
This is what I meant by attracting people and indirectly it bring the earnings of the mall higher.
A must visit place and ice skating to be surely tried. Highly recommended.
