Hello there,
I really believe that NDTV 24x7 is one of the premier english channels in India. The reason being the quality and the experience behind the news anchors headed by the great Dr.Roy himself. How ever the channel is out of touch in rural and Hindi belt in India and it is here that NDTV india has made a serious impact.
NDTV India's strength lies in its superior anchors, and well grouped news pieces. It really the channel with experience and never goes the Masala hunting but the geniune news gathering way.
This is where other channels lose out. Although not much followed in India NDTV group has been bagging awards all over the world (esp Barkha and Rajdeep which I believe are the stars of the show along with Vikram Chandra and Nidhi Razdan).
For I person aiming for superior English, NDTV 24x7 is the target. Following the subtitles and the quality english used by the anchors can really beef up your english.
Then there are certain good specials to watch out. WE THE PEOPLE, THE BIG STORY, THE X FACTOR to name a few. The offer the viewer a slew of information on various topics and helps them to put their point forward to the people who matter.
