I donot agree with one of the writers that Bombay(New Bombay) is city of Bhai or Salman or Thackrey.This is ridiculous.Among all big cities of India;Bombay is much safer to stay.(even better than Capitol-N.Delhi).Crime rates are much less than other commercial cities of other countries.
New Bombay has come as very modern;well planned;most disciplined city.Unlike (old) bombay there are no slums;no unauthorised structures.They have better roads;better drainage system;threre is no extra load on water supply;electricity.You are getting better life style which is even cheaper than ''much talked about Pune!''It is big surprise rates of flats are cheaper than Pune.
In new bombay Vashi is commercial;which is more populated;so for a new person it is not advisable to stay there.Nerul (Nerool) is better i.e. quite open;airy;less priced.It is good place for staying.Even Kalamboli is also comig up as very nice place for elderly to stay.
