I have 14 years of experience in IT and that was supposed to be condensed in 2 page format, as per the sales executive, since that is the way resumes are written these days.
I have paid the amount of Rs 5910 in cash on 08th September, vide receipt 164805 and availed the whole package for resume writing + Resume display services (aka Resume FastForward).
I never received the resume draft or the call for the information collection till 17th September.
On 17th September, when I called back as I could not pick call, I was asked for a suitable time next day - September 18.
Even after mentioning the time, for call - 12 pm to 3 pm, I did not receive any call.
After again reminding the same at 3.30, I did finally got a call on same day around 4.00 pm and the call ended in 2 minutes and 22 second - mentioning that resume would be written in next 3 days. I did ask that executive whether you would need any information and she said - NO.
The draft copy received on 21 September (Transaction ID : 120908TS830999) proved that it is just a copy paste from my resume copy.
I have conveyed that to individual with whom I spoke - Zahir Khan Mansuri - very same day over email and then again over phone at 2.55 pm.
I filed a complaint with resume service as per the discussion we had and complaint #1205133 on 21 September at 3.02 pm.
Even after this, when I received the resume on 22nd September I was surprised to see that - the draft resume was just altered but still does not capture the so called - Professional and Experience - in the document.
When I tried calling up Zahir Khan Mansuri again on 24th and 25th September, his number was busy 2 times and he did not pick up the phone on other 3 occasions.
Since I needed the other 3 services immediately, and as they were tied up to completion of resume, I asked customer care what needs to be done to activate them.
They simply followed up with me to accept the Resume Writing Service so that the final resume could be sent to the consultants and highlighted in their display.
I acknowledged the copy of resume as complete and got the other services activated.
Communication of this experience was reflected in feedback and an email to Zahir Khan and Gaurav Johri, who sold these services to me in first place - no response from them as well
About other 3 services which are not active
Resume display : This is supposed to increase the number of times your profile is viewed because it displays your profile on priority and in highlighted text.
Result : My resume views are at around same numbers before I bought this service - 2. Response from Monster.com is 3-4 times, on free registration.
Resume Flash : This is supposed to give you access to jobs that may not get advertised, and are closed at the consultant level.
Result : I am yet to see the benefit of this.
Job mail : This is probably the most critical of all the services. I would get access to jobs 4 days before they get listed on the general search engine.
Result : I get the same jobs, that I have already applied for through the general search engine, that too at least 2-3 days after the job is posted in their general search database. It turns out they are using the same search engine as everyone else. However, since they send job mails only on Tue and Fri (at around 11:30 p.m. or later), any job that gets listed on Sat or Mon gets delayed.
Moreover, because of this, the other regular mails that I used to get on a daily basis for job alerts are stopped. So, you are at double loss.
In a nutshell, you would end up loosing on almost every possible front if you are looking for a "service" from Naukri.com
