The name "Natural Ice Cream" did catch my eye often while passing through Koramangala, but I never really knew about their speciality. I had assumed they were just one of the thousands of ice cream outlets that dotted all nooks of the city. Untill very recently - it was only last month that somebody recommended me to try out Naturals and their Tender Coconut ice creams and I decided to check it out.
It's been three weekends since, and every weekend I unfailingly reach the Koramangala Naturals outlet to try out a new flavor! Needless to say, their ice creams are outstandingly different from all other varieties of flavoured ice creams - and the difference lies in the fact that they use real fruit pulp/bits and fresh ingredients. There are no artifical flavors used, so if you choose the tender coconut icecream, you'd find real bits of tender coconut. If you choose guava, you'd find guava pulp. It tastes so natural, it feels like you are eating the fruit itself.
The second thing I like about Natural is that the icecreams are not tongue-numbingly sweet. I am not very fond of stuff that are excessively sweet, and that keeps me away from most "branded" icecreams which are sweetened way beyond my tastes. These icecreams have a very light sweetness to them and that adds to the natural taste. In the last three weekends, I have sampled three flavors(Tender Coconut, Malai, Guava) and all three of them were extremely likable. My all time favourite would certainly be the tender coconut flavor.
My conclusion - If you haven't tried it yet, or you are assuming that Natural is "just another icecream parlor", do give it a shot. You'd keep coming back for more!
