Okay so I admit it, I did it. I actually went and watched a romantic movie, eventhough it was hindi and I knew it would be a mushy affair. So I finally let in to the pressure my friends were putting on me to watch it. And you know what, it was'nt bad at all, Namaste London is not the best romantic movie I have seen (PS: the only other romantic movies I really liked are RHTDM and Laws Of Attraction).
And as it happens from time to time, I do watch a Namaste London. Well to put it fairly the movie was fast paced and had for a change the songs were not that bad. Katrina Kaif may still have a long way to go in terms of acting, but atleast she has put in a half decent effort. Akshay Kumar is fast becoming the guy no one can ignore anymore. His acting was fun, emotional and yeah the excessive jumping around was gone. The story of Namaste London may not be new to hindi cinema, (I have an inkling I have seen a similar english movie(s). Anyone care to remind me?) but what Namaste London does bring to the table is a breath of fresh air, a blend of fun and romance.
Upen Patel's acting is absolutely miserable and I have my doubts if he is fit for acting roles. Rishi Kapoor seems to have adapted well to the father roles he has been playing lately. I had also heard a lot about the sound track of the movie but to be honest it was not exceptional and was at best bearable. So to round it up should a single guy be watching this movie with all his other friends? Maybe But yeah if there is a love story of your own going on...... ;) I think you get the point. As always no revealing the plot.
