Flow of Emotions…& POISE of creativity-1. Review on Naach

I found movie NAACH -a movie more of an intense character - creative soul searching for right platform to establish herself as choreographer where she can produce herself without compromising on her strong thinking, ethics, & moral values.

Film for it?s title being Naach one expects it to be a musical, with songs aplenty. I remember a film name ?Zanak Zanak Pyaal Baaje? where in two souls are in rhythm of music and dance, fall in love, and produce good combination of creative output in form of dance with melodious music.

Whereas here movie?s leading character are not dependant on beats of music?it depicts total a new deep understanding of creative form ?NAACH? which RAAM GOPAL VERMA has successfully presented us it in it?s absolute totality.

As was expected watching this movie grabbed my full attention to each sequence, making me gasp with full admiration and amazement totally mesmerizing me; boggling my mind with all creative visualization gratifying my inner creative urge as well?It mesmerized me totally making me forget to eat popcorns and other munch taken to tantalize my taste buds. It scored highest flaunts from me.

This film is from very creative person RAAM GOPAL VARMA has dared to put up this bold truth in very conceptual projections treating it very sensitively and delicately.

Personally I have seen ANTRA MALI?S work for the first time but whole essence of her being in this film made me conclude is that she put her best effort and total hard work as according to RAAM GOPAL VARMA?S level. Let me tell you that it?s also the success of director to get the best out of hidden raw talent & he has succeeded in polishing raw coal as refined glittering diamond that shines throughout the movie. The best ever emotions could ever be got from all the three actors.

The story goes?

This is the story of very highly deeply talented dynamic promising young artist whose not only heart beats for the rhythms but her core essence of her being is only Naach. This is actual reality with all genuine creative artist be it artist, music recorders, writer, photographer,singer, vocalist...whatever. Here young lady is catching notes and frames rhythmatic sequences finding it from daily mundane routine life. She has left her cozy comforting secured patterns getting from parents rejecting the typical format of life?She is different and is aspirant to become choerogragher but only with her own terms and conditions.

She is bold enough to accept and face the challenges of life arising due to non-compromising ethics. From practical point of view it?s seen as sheer rigidity on her part not to compromise by being obsequious for her success. At the same time she comes across again young promising actor who is aspirant , desperate to procure name fame and money even be at the cost his zameer. Of course as the world dictates the easiest path to journey of name fame status Abhishek as Abhi accepts it.So Abhi reaches the heights of fame, money and glory; but Antramali as Rewa is bold enough and keeps on denying to trade on this pathway sticking to her own soul voice?and waits for the right click to come her way.

During the process of struggle Abhi falls deeply in love with her and her talent. And she also tiptoes in the world of love with him.

In spite of her deep-rooted emotion she doesn?t mingle her personal life with work. She doesn?t hesitate to quit her love when finding him rude and offending when he is trying to realize her reality and wants her to accept the world?s way to succeed in life by compromising her ethics. She bears with her lonileness; solitude arising from the loss of her love; faces the deep hurt she feels on finding his successive love not able to understand her. She withstands rejection from cineworld for which she thinks are not able to perceive, grasp, justify her talents .In spite of this She attunes herself fit as each hallowing days and nights come across her? passing it off as very strong lady.

They have shown in her a real artist's strongheadness. She still cups the dream of her creation to be successive and atop to the world on her own accord. She doesn?t lose her heart at all, doesn?t get mellowed a bit, in spite of all adverse hostility she faces from producer who in directly at one instance offers to give her good break if she sleeps with him.

In the end there?s one fine morning that kisses her feet, her talent of NAACH, her knack of pouring her soul into choreographing any good sequence material and she gets successive break . Luck finally favors Rewa when she does Dwivakar?s (Ritesh Deshmukh) music video that becomes a huge success. And there she is confidently facing applaud from public which she was very much sure to get it.

Dwivakar?s then launches a musical with Rewa as the heroine. And everybody including Rewa finds Abhi to be perfect for it?s lead role. Rewa is an absolute professional on the sets. But Abhinav gets jealous over her closeness with Diwakar. Here I found abhishek walking to his dad shoes with similarities of the ''Abhimaan'' theme forward. Abhishek perfectly acted well the way his dad played as jealous musician's part in ''Abhimaan''. Unable to bear the pain, Abhinav decides to walk out of the film.

By this time main hero realizes emptiness and vaccumacy coming out due to compromises he has made and realizes his life got no meaning without Rewa?

The climax has Abhinav coming open about his feelings before Dwivakar and Rewa. Here the story to grip the audience has added third character-Dwivaker falling in love with her but of course one sided. And Rewa confesses that Abhinav was the only man she had loved and would wait for him eternally. Thus in end both the love doves are once again together.

NAACH is embellished with great performances. Abhishek Bachchan proves his worth as established actors of Indian cinema today.

Antra Mali is first-rate, conveys lot through her eyes .Her simplicity and emotive eyes express a lot for the bold character what Rewa is. Besides, her dances/acrobatics are a treat. Her body swift, flexibility, each poise of NAACH is worth appreciating .The only dislike personally I found in her is that she has a very athletic masculine over worked body that snatches away her sex appeal. At times I couldn?t stop myself comparing her with Urmilla thinking if at all she was their than would have sufficed suppleness fragility and sexy nodes lacking in Antramali though she was excellent throughout her emotional scene as well. Ritesh Deshmukh has a small but significant role and he does complete justice to it.

The music is good. The cinematography is excellent. The three scenes that personally appealed me

1] When on terrace after performance they shown director discussing with Antramali totally smitten by her work and behind his shoulder Abhishek of course concern Abhi is shown. This shot I liked very much as it?s just remarkably shot making all three character speak without any dialogues!

2] Fiery love kiss?the whole scene looks so natural and emotional...!

This movie has touched me and my inner creative soul where in I relate my strongheadness with Reva.
