Well I've only heard it about 30 times in the last half hour
About half an hour ago I downloaded Nsync's new song, ''Pop,'' from Napster. Earlier I'd seen them rehearsing it for their new tour on TRL, and had heard some of the https://lyrics. What catches me most about this song is definitely, and without a doubt, the https://lyrics. Nothing could be truer. I mean, Nsync just throws it in your face and then some.
What does it sound like?
The beat of the song is very new but is undoubtedly reminiscent of the song ''No Strings Attached'' from their album of the same name. It is very upbeat and makes you want to dance like crazy. This may sound odd, but the beat sounds like a mix between old Michael Jackson and new Nsync. Trust me, it's great. Nsync has honestly surprised me. They have regained nothing but respect from me!
Ok, so how 'bout the vocals?
Alright, they have this down and dirty sound like ''dey from da dirty south or some thang like that.'' They sound so gritty and raw, as if they are spitting the words at you with grim looks on their faces. I must admit that Justin is singing through his nose but it's hardly noticeable underneath the downright grittiness you feel and hear when you listen to it. The chorus sounds great with the harmonizing, and I love the digital enhancements. At the end they sing ''pop'' in this weird echo type thing, it's hard to explain!
Will it do for Celebrity what Bye Bye Bye did for No Strings Attached?
I don't think so. The growth isn't there as much as it was from the 1st to 2nd album. Nothing in the music biz has changed much, and what the fans want to hear hasn't changed much, therefore it isn't as huge a jump. The contrast isn't as evident. I do believe the album will be successful, and will without a doubt pass the million-selling mark in its first week. Yet I don't think they will ever reach 2.4 million again, that was quite the peak in their career. But hey, the song is still wonderful and will help album sales. I know I'll probably get the CD (only I won't get it the first week hehe).

Isn't it all so true? Don't you listen to pop music whether it be privately or publicly, and get an adrenaline high from it? Now see you just can't fool me. You know I know the truth. Nsync knows the truth! You can't hide your love for pop. For those of you who just don't like it, then don't criticize it or classify the people who sing it because of your naive stereotypical comments!
In Conclusion
Nsync has created a great song that will probably be followed by more enjoyable hits from their up-coming album, Celebrity. It is definitely worth listening to!
Celebrity - in stores July 24th (but buy it a week later, k? wink)
