Wondeful place. Review on Mysore

Hello friends I am writing this review on historical place Mysore which is my favorite place. Long year back I have visited so I thought to pen it. I have been to mysore twice in 2005 with my friends & 2006 in July with my whole family.

Well start with the details

Mysore is a place in Karnataka Mysore is a place that is well known for its tourist attractions. The main city is rather crowded, but the rest of the area is not so crowded. So, one can travel freely in Mysore. There are many beautiful, attractive places in Mysore which are definitely worthy to be seen. The weather is more or less cool, but it is hot in summer. However, between November and January, the weather is cool.

One can reach Mysore by bus and train. The nearest airport is in Bangalore, which is far from Mysore. Those who travel through plane can catch a train at Bangalore and travel to Mysore. Travelling through bus is also a good option. Those who travel in and around Mysore on auto-rickshaw will have to be careful to avoid getting cheated. The auto-rickshaw fares are cheaper when compared to many other cities of India.

One of the main attraction in Mysore is Mysore palace, in which there are beautiful paintings and collections of caskets, numerous ivory works etc. The decorations of this palace is fantastic. Another important tourist spot is the Brindavan garden, which is excellently beautiful. This is a garden full of amazing fountains.This place is my favorite place in night u thoroughly enjoy the fountains & lighting & kaveri river falling water from dam.

Chamundi hills are majestic in their beauty and it also has the temple of a goddess. The idol of the goddess is marvelous in its architecture. A lot of tourists go to this place and are almost stunned by this beautiful hill.

Formerly known as Jagmohan palace, this is now an art gallery and contains numerous works of various artists and is an important destination for tourists. St Philomena church is a cathedral known for its wonderful beauty. Its architectural designs are amazing and is a large cathedral.

Mysore zoo is a very old and large zoo and is famous tourist spot, known for all its wonderful animals. There are animals such as white tigers, elephants, giraffe, black bears, bisons, hippos and gorillas. There is also the botanical garden which has nearly 100 species of beautiful plants.

Hotels are rather expensive in Mysore, especially in the heart of the city. However, one can get hotels to lodge at cheaper rates when one moves away from the main city. But cleanliness cannot be guaranteed. Although Mysore is a cleaner place than most other big cities of India, it is still an untidy place. There are numerous restaurants and shopping malls. The main city area is filled with shops.

So, there is a lot to see in Mysore . The palaces and zoo must not be missed by a traveler. I enjoyed sight-seeing in Mysore very much and I can recommend this place for travel to visitors. I will rate this place 9 out of 10 points.
