My Name is Karan Johar and I make flop films. Review on My Name is Khan

This movie not for a single minute makes one feel attracted towards it. The starting is so slow. For the first 45 minutes you don't really understand what is going on. I think Karan Johar should stop making movies now.

I think this whole controversy between shivsena and srk has benefited srk and people are going to theater to oppose shivsena and not to support shahrukh but shahrukh is thinking it is his victory, this is nobody's victory neither the shivsena nor shahrukh and here goes the trust of Times of India which gave it Five stars, cannot believe for such a bad movie and it makes me wonder that Shah Rukh must have bribed shivsena to create this controversy because can you imagine for one small comment that political party would create such a big controversy out of it and in turn shah rukh could gain emotional support for his film from people and in turn people would watch his movie, this may not be the case but one cannot rule out this. This whole controversy is very suspicious, it does not look true, may be there had been a deal between Bal thackaray and shah rukh because both were sailing on the same boat, shivsena losing their hold on Mumbai and Shah Rukh desperately needing a hit to stay as self proclaimed Shahenshah which he never was.

Well leave aside this controversy coming to the movie the most irritating part is when srk narrates the story, one feels disgusted, Jimmy Shergil is wasted, Kajol looks too old she never looked young though lolz. The dialogues I found repetitive like My name is khan is used too many times at places where it was not required, a sheer talent like Vinay Pathak is wasted in a poor role given to him. Mama Jenny's role above head and her son looks so funny.

The thing one which desperately feels while watching the movie is you do feel that the movie just lacks Indian-ness somewhere. I guess Karan Johar made it just to earn dollars, euros and pounds and not the rupee, he wanted nonresident Indians to like it rather than common Indian man. The movie is just so American that one feels why it has been released in India. The hype created that the movie is so good by the media and other critics is just so hollow when one sees the movie himself.

The issue on which movies had been made and turned out to be a super flop like New York and Kurbaan is quite an old one now and I think we Indians are not much attached to it like a common Indian who is not aware of United States and the attack on that country how can he associate oneself to it. Lot of undue importance is given to United States. I think this movie one feels is made for Americans and not common Indian public. I guess the people living in small towns of India hardly have to do anything about what is going on in America as we have our own lot of issues.

So, I think this movie is only for Americans or nonresident Indians who go to United States and other foreign countries and can associate with the movie. So, on the whole according to me the movie is waste of time and better sit at home rather than watching the movie.
