This is believed to be a rom-com, a sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding made some 10 years back. The film then was a hit as the subject was new and with it's sequel it was expected to get even better, however that's not true. The film does not offer anything new besides some entertainment.
The plot simply put together is about a family - Tula, her husband - Ian, their daughter - Paris and her parents, Gus and Maria. Tula and Ian are struggling to put up with their lives, trying to rekindle romance in their married life and their daughter is trying to get admitted to one of the good colleges for further studies. On the back-drop of this setup, her father Gus gets a realization that he is a descendant of Alexander The Great! (I can't believe this - I thought this happens only in Bollywood). And in an attempt to prove this, he gets hold of historical documents and eventually realizes that the priest had not signed his marriage document, some 50 years back, which logically means he and Maria are legally not married.
What comes next in the film is a drama of re-marriage of Gus and Maria, how he convinces her to marry him, how other family members play a role in getting the two together and finally it ends on a happy note. I am sure, the wedding drama is not new to us in India and a lot of Bollywood movies have done this earlier here.
Hence, there is nothing in this movie which will excite you - this isn't really a bad film either but there is nothing in it for you to go to a movie hall, spend your money and time to watch it. You can easily watch this on a small screen, at your leisure.
