Why Mallika doesn't have anybody to sleep with?

Why Mallika wants to sleep with Mahesh Bhatt of all the things? ---- An Assumption

Why Mahesh Bhatt doesn't want to sleep with Mallika? ---- A Corollary Assumption

Why Mallika said no to Ashmit, when he wanted to sleep with her?

The search for the answers to above questions led me to the doors of traumatic rendezvous with the movie ''MURDER''. But, did this help me find answers to any of the above questions? Yes, it did, rather I have found an answer to an extra question i.e. Why did the girl, who wanted to sleep with me, ditched me? Let me first get over with that.

Given my opportunistic nature, I decided to use ''MURDER'' as an opportunity to indulge in a coffee extravaganza, along with finding answers to my above questions. And, there is where the trauma started. I just could not resist the temptation of dozing off while watching the movie, which turned into bigger and bigger hunger for sleep, and ultimately the hunger for sleep took over the thirst for Coffee. However, given my ex-GF's unquestioned preference to coffee over sleep led to premature breakage of our relationship, and now I am gonna have sleepless nights till Mahesh Bhatt produces another sleep inducer.

Story

I would like to declare upfront that my description of story might not be cent percent correct given the inevitable loss of concentration while watching the movie. In case of any disagreement, please consider ''UNFAITHFUL'' as the final source of reference. According to me, the movie can be divided into two parts, in the first part, Mallika narrates her version of gruesome murder of her benefactor, Mr. Hashmi (that's because he was the one who agreed to sleep with Mallika in the movie, and still she murdered him?). In this, she describes how actually Mr. Hashmi initially proposed her for coffee, but she actually ended up marrying Ashmit, and never had any coffee. And, in the second part, Ashmit states his version of gruesome murder of his benefactor, Mr. Hashmi (that's because he philanthropically took over the responsibility from Asmit, and still he murdered him?). He describes how desperately he wanted to know about the unfortunate one Mallika was actually sleeping with. I can understand the inquisitiveness Ashmit, it's natural. Both versions were extremely confusing as Mallika described details of Ashmit's activities in her version, and Ashmit described details of Mallika's activities in his version. Probably, that's what is called Platonic Love? However, the crux of the matter is Mr Hashmi got killed, but how? What did you think I will tell you so easily, I went through the trauma, now you also suffer the same. Go and watch the movie.

Acting

This was easy for everybody involved except Mr. Hashmi. I can very well empathize with him. His desperation could not only be seen but also felt in his coffee extravaganzas with Mallika. However, his acting blossomed out in violent eruption of his inner hatred on not being generously compensated by Mallika, for all the service he did to her. Mallika's acting was most natural, as she was the most satisfied person in this movie. She, not only satisfied her long lasting thirst, but also enjoyed the platonic love with Ashmit in the most natural way. Ashmit had nothing to lose, as he wanted to sleep with Mallika anyways ( Yes I don't know answer to this question, why did Ashmit want to sleep with her? Was it really a joke?). Also, he seems to be a sadist, who didn't show any sign of exasperation on acting out a murderer of his benefactor.

Songs

Songs were actually the hampers to a sound sleep. But, I should say, they tried a lot to save me from my destined traumatic experience. The one played along with the coffee had the most soothing effect i.e Bheegey Hont. However, another one sung in pre-coffee encounters i.e Kaho Na Kaho is also very good (that's when Mr Hashmi tried wooing Mallika to have coffee with her even before she got married to Ashmit, but why didn't he had coffee then only? Did Mallika actually wanted to sleep and sleep only at that time? The same mistake which I did).

Direction

It's a directionless movie, however, the work of cutting and pasting things from ''UNFAITHFUL'' is splendid. Rest is attributed to the efforts of actors and crew in the auspices presence of Anurag Basu. His presence seems to have generated a kind of urgency in finishing coffee and getting back to murder, I wish he had given some more time to finish coffee, it's ruthless, to say the least.

Final Word

I am not a sadist, I just can't recommend you to watch this movie, but only if you wanna know how did Mr. Hasmi actually got killed?
