..<What the Hell?>.. Review on Mumbai Matinee

Now I have gone on a “watchin movie spree” so…I had a hard time deciding which one to write on… Boom, Joggers Park, Zameen, Samay… etc… now I read so many great reviews on these movies.. thought I would skip them for now…

Not that I m saying that there aren’t great reviews on Mumbai Matinee – but I just wanted to write on something silly… and make it short too.

So here goes…

First of, why in the world is this movie called Mumbai Matinee – it could’ve been easily called “Old Virgin”.

Anyways movie is about a 30 year old Virgin, Debashish Chatterjee.

He is in advertising. He is always questing himself as to why is he still a virgin. And now he can’t take it anymore… So now his goal is to “give it up”.

He meets the most craziest people in the world to help him do that.

He meets a guruji(who is of course, a fake)… which lands him into a Brothel, where he is arrested. Then he meets a producer, who has had more flops than anybody. He becomes more of a friend than a help in Debu’s goal.

But the producer is tired of flops and he goes to the guruji too, asking to make his movie a hit…and he says…put some SEXin it… That’s where Debu is cheated.

Debu finds himself in a movie having sex…he gets kicked out of his apartment.

And somehow…don’t know why…some girl wants to interview him.

And he says ok…and she offers him to move in with her…eventually, they become good friends and both virgins…so u can see the Sexual tension…was def. There…so they finally do it!!

That’s the movie… in details.

Music….its ok… I really can’t remember any song title…but its ok…oh yeah there was one strip kinda song…that was a good one!

Acting by Perizadis as usual…same…as in any other movie. I think she is pretty and speaks good English. But She acts same in every single movie. Needs a little change.

Mota Guy(don’t know his name): He is always funny!!!

Asrani : Is a good hilarious support to the movie.

Guruji ( guy from Monsoon wedding): He is too skinny and kinda weird looking but he is funny!

So u can see the movie is full of hilariously funny actors!!!

Now comes although a serious actor but he acts funny, ( he has become one of my favorites!!) Rahul Bose. Now lets see why I like him :

-He has one of my favorite guy name, Rahul.

-His interviews are a joy to watch. He is sincere. He is not into Bollywood stuff.

----Ok… now back to the movie ---

Unanswered Question::

What is this movie trying to prove,

do u need love to have sex?, or

u have to sex according to ur age?

Overall, I rate the movie low, since its not well made and isn’t the greatest topic to make a movie on.

But its funny…so I recommend you watching it once.
