MSN Messenger Service is Microsoft's multi-functional instant messenger. It allows you to exchange desktop-to-desktop messages with users on a contact list. Using MSN's Passport service, it's fully integrated with the Hotmail service to provide easy access to your web-based e-mail. The program also supports Internet telephony for full voice communication. This feature supports both PC-to-PC and PC-to-Phone calling.
Messenger is still conveniently integrated with other Microsoft apps. It notifies you when you receive new Hotmail messages, for instance, displays your buddies within Outlook Express, and boasts a link on Internet Explorer's menu
MSN Messenger probably has the best contact list options, including the ability to see which users have added you to their lists. You can also manage which users may contact you.
While operating, the automatic typing indicator detects when your friend is typing a message.
If you have a hotmail account then all you have to do is download the msn messanger, type in your user name and password and start chatting
