I m the proud owner of Moto E(Gen2) 3G Dual Sim Smart Phone. I bought this one on Amazon at 5, 699. You can certainly get it at a cheaper rate now. I have been using it for, 4 months now and I m a satisfied user of Moto both in terms of the product's performance and service.
When I bought a smart phone, this being my first smart phone I was looking for a reasonable price and good performance. I do not believe in spending thousands on phone, after all it's just a phone.
I m not a careful user so my requirements were satisfied with this purchase.
PROS -
Very handy, easy to operate.
All the apps are available on play store.
Sound is great, with or without ear phones.
Do not have a separate battery system, battery is inbuilt. U just need to insert micro Sims at the edge of the phone.
Decent space without memory card. Apps like Flickr and Google provide decent backing.
Dual Sims operate comfortably with a hitch.
Battery life is good, a usage of 7-9 hours is expected on full charge. As always using aps, playing games will bring it down drastically.
CONS
Doesn't have a torch which can be a concern if u r used to it.
Brightness level cannot be reduced much. When u r used to Apple or Samsung setting brightness of this phone on a low will still be difficult to take.
The camera doesn't have flash, and the picture quality is good provided the light is bright around. Front camera is a disappointment.
The software of my phone crashed in two months of purchash, no icons were visible on homescreen, restarting the phobe was heating it up badly. However, the warranty saved me. So better buy it from a recognised website.
Over all, if budget is a constrain and u r not willing to spend much on a smart phone, Moto E Gen2 comes as a decent option.
I have bought a gooseberry cover for it from eBay, phone fits in just right. Go for it incase u have payback points available.
Keeping the above features in mind, I would rate it 3.25 on 5.
Thanks for reading my take.
